    Default Hempy Bucket method outdoors.

I'm sure many of you have heard about the " Hempy Bucket ". Well for my 1st outdoors grow I'm going to use the Hempy Bucket method. I live in Florida so I'm going to take a chance that it wont get below 50 degrees and kill the plants. Anyways I need some help on this method because of the clarity of information on it. And I'm also nooby. So lets say I were to germinate a seed using the towel method and as soon as i see a sprout i put it in the bucket. Now my question is when would I first add nutes to it? As you know this is a nutless mix. Well not completely nuteless but very low. And after I 1st add nutes to it how often after that do I add onto it. Do i Stick with the 2 week thing? or should it be 1 week because of nuteless. And also how often do I water? If anyone has experience on this method I would appreciate it if you could share your knowledge. Thanks.

When I germinate a seed for a hempy bucket I plant it in a peat puck for a few days till it sprouts up. Then you can put that in the hempy.

If you just put a germinated seed in the top of the perlite it has a risk of drying out and dying. Unless your there to mist it constantly. 100 % perlite will wick great but the top can dry out fast in warmer conditions. I like to cut my media with some Vermiculite. It helps to hold water in the root zone.

As for nutes. You give them nutes with every watering. Which should be every other day or so. Full Strength on Vegging and Flowering plants. Maybe 1/2 strength for seedlings and day old rooted clones. Feed more or Flush as needed.

Thanks bro, the info was helpful. But I gotta say I'm a little nervous with the nutes. You say I have to do it every other day? Well it could be true since it is a nuteless mix. Its just that I have burned my plants up in the past more then once and I'm always skeptical on adding nutes. But yeah if anything happens I'll flush.

Try a one part hydroponic nute like floranova grow and bloom or CNS 17 grow and bloom.

Then just feed with every watering at what the bottle recommends. Measure carefully.

Alright then, will do. Thanks again. Ive been lookin at the The Hempy Collective thread really good info. Just tiresome reading each and every page trying to scrap up info for my questions. I ended up deciding that I will start seedlings in the soil in a small party cup and then transplant into a 100% perlite. And for the hole on the side of the bucket. What does that indicate I know this is probably a stupid question but how much should I water it? Like until the water comes out from the hole? I know it varies upon stages for growth but lets say 1st week of veggi growth?

You add water till you see it start coming out of the hole. Young plants will drink alot less then bigger plants.

A hempy may go 4 or 5 days between watering with a small plant, but once it gets growing it will drink more water. And when its big it will drink all its water every other day or so.

I use hempy cups (styrofoam coffe cups) to start my clones using 100% perlite. That works for me.
A bad day in the grow rooms is better than a good day at work!
