| | Dwarf plants? | | I am new to growing and don't know much information on the plants life cycle. One of my plants is about 2 months old and is only about a foot and a half tall. It just began flowering with all the white pistils. There is almost no bud, but littles trichs i believe. Also it is just one main shoot striaght up at the 4 interlode. Will the plant remail this size becuz the plant has already started flowering? Im using a three gallon plastic pot, with miracle grow soil. Any information would be appreciated. |

| | This is the plant i was referring to, as you can see the stem is very small in diameter. I did not germinate this seed, and i was also thinking, transplant shock could cause dwafisim? Stay high fellas |

| | You have this plant outdoors?? Yes it is flowering. No it isn't going to grow any taller. Now if you want to have some real fun and learn some things, clone that bitch. Set up a small area 1 sq.ft. would be sufficient to start with. Get a couple cfl's to light them with and baby them. You will have to revert them back to vegging which will take a couple of months of carefully removing all of that old flowering growth. By that time you should be ready to clone them and move the original clones into your flowering room. The one your gonna build of course. VV |

| | Ok if i am understanding you correctly, cfl's are compact fluorescent bulbs? If so how many watts? And as far as cloning it do you mean simply hacking the top off at 45 degree angle and sticking it in some soil, because it only has one vertical shoot. I have a book with steps for cloning. To revert them back to the veggie state they would need around 20 hours uninterupted light, correct? The plant is grown outdoors so during the veggie state it probably only got maybe 14 or 15 hours of light a day. Thanks for the info. especially any on which cfl's. |

| | Not flowering like that picture in two weeks, he means months.
All you need is two sets of leaves on a stem. You will sacrifice what ever bud is there, but the sooner you do it the better your chance of success. I have never used the cfl's so I haven't done any research on them. Several folks on here have, you will have to check out a couple of journals that say cfl's even have a thread for cfl grows from seed to harvest. Please understand, doing what I'm suggesting will require research, trail and error, trial and success. You could just pop in some seeds faster then cloning flowering plants. You can't get the feel for the plants that you will get by doing this in my opinion. And you do know the are female. I'm getting ready to harvest the third generation of plants from the ones I cloned when they were flowering. I think I learned a lot along the way. VV |

| | So basically i should cut just above the second set of leaves, right in between the pistils? That seems like the best option, and im gonna try it out in the morning, see if i can't have me two plants out of one. Thanks for the information. |

Please do not revert your plant your going to so pissed off because it's going to take atleast 2 months of 24/7 light for it revert and not be returded and then it will only really be good for clones so i would finsh that one buy new seeds and start the new set up, Unless you would rather spend 4-5months b4 you have bud are you can start over and have it in 3 up to you. Peace |

| | I have another plant which is much healthier that i plan on cloning. I think im going to use at the moment two 23w cfl's= 200w, the space is maybe 12" x 18", i'm hoping this will do it for clones. I read the cloning info on this site and damn it doesn't get much easier than that. I'll put them under the light after i stick them back in the soil.
Cloning info i was reifering to- http://www.rollitup.org/3601-post1.html | | Thread Tools | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode |
