Preparing mother plants then planting the clones outside.
Do I need to really do much other than plant them in soil and water them every so often if it doesn't rain? Can I pretty much just leave them be in the woods?

If your soil is not heavily custom mixed and prepare it probably will not support the crop the entire run. You would have to give it food/nutes every 2-3 feedings or so
I abandoned a small grow in June/09 I had 3 plants. One survived.I am pretty sure it was a Skunk #1.I am positive that lack of rain or water killed the other 2.The soil outside was untouched and I only put down 1 application of espoma organic all purpose fertilizer that lasts 6 weeks...I returned in October and found the one survivor.I had 14 grams of dried buds.Very potent and couch lock type.Sweet smelling,,I live in the deep south U.S. I am sure that most pristine land has plenty of NPK,secondaries, and trace minerals. I won't go overboard with nutrients on my next grow.No need
