winter must be on the way. it was a large group, probably 50 - 100. flying very high. on their way home for the winter. must be getting cold up north.


i like to focus on these things. i plant in the spring when the birds start chirping in the mornings. looks like harvest time is here.

These geese here are all screwed up. Last year there was some that even stayed. I live near wetlands and there are tons of geese. They take over the streets and shit. I am hoping they fly your way soon, so much poop on the sidewalks and everywhere here. No kidding, there could be up to 60 geese crossing the road, all in a long line while we wait. lol And man are they nasty, they spit at you and chase you if you get too close. We have had to get the wildlife people here to remove over 200 gese from the main park in town, it was crowed out with geese. Crazy, honk, honk, honk. lol.

you know geese always fly in a v. One leg is always longer than the other. There is a scientific reason for this. Know what it is?? VV

they fly off the draft of those in front of them. the lead geese are on a stronger leg. they pull ahead. the tired ones follow behind working less to fly due to the draft of the lead birds. as the rear ones regain energy they move forward allowing the lead ones to rest. it's all about team-work.

its for the prediator jets so only a few get sucked into the turbines and the rest can get away.

Just be happy there are still some geese left... it used to be there were so many they would block out the sun.
