I was wondering if it is safe to use a propane heater to heat my garage with my buds?

Kerosene I know will mess with the smell. But will propane? As always thanks friends.

Raw Propane smells like rotting eggs, but it burns semi clean. Maybe it would leave a little smell.

Propane burns clean enough to cook your food over. Just make sure you have some ventilation, as it does produce carbon monoxide.

would the vents in the top of my garage be enough? There is 3 of them on each side. I have two industrial fan blowing as well. But nothing blowing in fresh air. Should I rig up somthing? I have a few small squerrel cage fans. I am hooking up my temp and humity meters tonight.

Carbon monoxide can linger close to the floor, be sure to vent daily..:peace:

You'd want to have some inside air being replaced by outside air whenever you're running the heaters. Doesn't need to be a whole bunch, but enough that you don't get sleepy while you're in there.

One thing I forgot to mention is that another by-product of burning propane is water vapor. So along with raising the temperature, it will also raise the humidity.

not only will it raise the humidity but soot will cover everything. You won't see it until you look at the walls when you are done and they will be black. Will that get on your stuff Possibly. Do you not have electricity? Why not put in a elec heater from walmart that costs twenty bucks. Get more than one if needed.
