Default risk of plant reverting from flowering back to veg phase??? help.
Howdy

I was a bit eager and planted my plants towards the end of winter. One started flowering earliesh at about 11" and the other started flowering about 2 weeks after (about 1 week ago) at about 2.5ft

The little lady seems to be flowering fantastically but i'm worried she's gona convert back to veg phase and I won't be able to enjoy her in the holidays. I live in South Africa so it's going to start getting pretty hot soon, but on the other hand the winter isn't particularly cold..

They're probably getting about 13hrs of sunlight a day now (about 8hrs direct), is there a high risk of them swinging back into veg phase?

should i just cover her with a bin for 12hrs a day to make sure?

Balls.

There surely is a risk of them slowly reverting to veg.... but as long as the light remains under 14 hours of light your safe...
Are they in pots or in ground soil? if they are in pots you can move them into a dark room or cover them with something to prevent light from hitting the plants after they receive 12 hours of day light......
i just checked the sunlight hours for south africa here is the link http://www.thenetwork.co.za/averagesunlight.pdf
from this chart is shows that you rarely have more than 12 hours of light in your country. which means plants would grow to a certain extent and then systematically flower... so i dont think you should worry because you are always under 14 hours of light....
so ... basically ....
If day time is longer than 14 hours it will revert to veg... as long as it is under 14 hours of light and over 8 hours of light you are in the safe zone......
i hope this helped... if not let me know! peace out.......
