ive heard deer will eat your shit cause they love the stuff and there are plenty of deer around here i am moving my plant to the woods (hoping for the best) cause i have to get rid of it where im at now

make a fence, piss around it, hang some human or dog hair near it, buy some stuff called "liquid fence", make a fence out of fishin line, lots of ways

You guys are all wrong... well not necessarily wrong but the easiest method is to just simply hang a few bars of Irish Spring soap around the area you are growing. They can’t stand the smell of this soap and you'll never have to worry about a deer again. I guarantee it!

Never heard of the irish spring option that sounds cheap and easy. I was actually just thinking about this same topic and i thought of the fishing line option and i was also think if you set up a "bait/distraction" pile about 50yards away from your crop, the deer might not even bother your plants when there are carrots, sugar beets and ears of corn for them to eat. Not to mention if you set up a pile you can pretend to be a hunter if anyone catches you out there tending your crop and you can prove your story with the existence of your bait pile. Whenever i go out into the woods i take a valid hunting license(usually small game license) and a pellet gun, so i have a legit reason to be wandering in the middle of no where.
