well high pressure sodium lights are my perticular fav . but metal halide lights are good as well and the run in the same spectrum of light as Compact florescents. High Pressure sodium lights are more of an orange tint like the harvest moon color. green lights if u want to work at night if ur one the 12/12 cycle for lights out if u need to work at lights out in ur grow op. The best ratiod lamp though is a 600 wt hps it has the best lumen rate.

Im hoping for about 8 ladys,how many would i need if i went with comp flou lights

it all depends on the setup u want if ur just using a square setup i would say Compact Fluorescent lights are great for starting cuttings or seeds. If used as a source of supplemental lighting, they are very effective for larger plants. Warm bulbs are (2700k) are best for general growth and flowering. Cool bulbs (6500k) are best for seedling, cloning and vegetative growth. They will work start to finish but the plant will be lanky with large node spacing. but u would prolly need like 1 100 wt light for every plant u have u want to have atleast 75 - 100 watts on ur plants any lower than that ur not going to have a good harvest

would it be ok to get clones from a plant in 2nd week of flowering,reason asking is seeds wont be here for a minute and would like to get started on this quicklike.
