Question quick ?
if a plant starts of alternating nodes does that mean that it’s going to starting flower soon? i have "seen" a plant that started from a clone and grow alternate nodes. this plant is about one-n-half ft tall and continues to alternate.

It means it has reached sexual maturity. Like a pre-flower. It doesn't necessarily mean it's about to start flowering, but it should show sex and begin to fill in when the time comes.

no it means the plant is a clone. Plants grown from seed grow symetrical while clones grow asymetrical. Seeds will grow asymetrically when flowering is induced

No, plants grown from seed grow 'symmetrically' until they reach maturity, usually at 1-3 feet tall. Then they will start alternating their nodes and grow in a more tree-like structure. Though it depends to degree on genetics.
