Default First ever grow attempt
Hi all, as you read in the title this is my first grow attempt and I've had my fair share of problems. I've been reading the forums now non-stop for a couple of weeks and decided to get some feedback and input from people who are much more well practiced than I am. The leave yellowed quite a bit last week but I believe that was due to heat exposure as it was nearly 100 here and I was only able to water them twice last week. I just transplanted them yesterday and they've not wilted at all and seem to be doing much better this week than last week. Any comments or feed back would be greatly appreciated as well as any advice. Thanks to all my fellow smokers for taking the time to read this!
PS the first two pics are of the same plant and the second two are of the other. I only had two survive the seedling stage.

Additionally some more info is that I've used a mixture mostly of potting soil with just a bit of local sand to balance out the ph. It's right around 6.3 currently and I water only with well water that has sat out for 24 hours. I've not given them any nutes yet mostly out of fear of burning them. I did put a small piece of banana peel on top of the soil because of advice I was given by a friend. I've been checking the soil and watering them as need since my mistake last week. I live in the midwest and hope that at least one of these is a girl and that I have enough time to get at least a few ounces off of her.

looks good, dont be afraid to give it nuetrients just start at half what is reccomended and give it more as it gets taller. if i were you i would water them with atleast a half to 3/4 litres of water per day on each of them
especially if your temps are 100 deg.

you should put that pot in the ground to keep the roots cool

well the temps here are normally in the upper 80's throughout the summer we just had a hot one last week. So should I start out with just a half dose of nitrogen at this point then? The only nutes I've got at the moment are 12-12-12 but I could always go to the local greenhouse.

also I forgot to add that they are five weeks old now. Is this a decent size? I see a lot of posts of plants much larger at this same age.

It takes a few days to a week for nutes to kick in so feed and wait. Dnt over do it. Then adjust to what you see fit. Good luck
