i had the same problem you guys did with somethign like digging up the plants after i had transplanted. Im almost positive thats a raccoon thing, i saw some tracks.. im no bear grils but they seem very coony. Its wierd though they only dig them up when its freshly moved soil.. and leave them alone after the dirt is settled. i also have a slug problem, ive tried all the little tricks (beer in a cup, slug granuals, hand picking) but im going to get some lime and so a parimiter with it mixed with diacramatiouse (sp) earth hopefully it will keep the sluggs as bay with all this rainnnnn. Good luck on your plots the only thing i would have to say is some of the pictures look like your planting these guys a little close, i know you guys are seasoned vets but just something to think about should you become too sucsessful and get some crowding out there.

a lot of these are getting a late start so we're not too worried about the crowding. we're also limited on space... one of the pics is a before transplant i believe, and the sites are only 1-2ft apart. when we move them they usually end up with about 3ft of space.

Turkeys love digging in freshly turned soil. Could also be feral pigs.

Here are some updates: I moved my Thai Super Skunk today to site C for a couple of reasons; first, better soil, the soil at site C has 6" of good top soil, it also doesn't seem to be having the pest problems that I'm having at sites A and B. I took some fresh soil out there today, about 3/4 of a cu ft, and dug a nice deep hole for the two and a half ft tall sativa. The plants (el diablos) that I planted just a couple of days ago at site C are doing great! I plan on moving all of the plants from site B to another location because of the pest and because it's not as far off of the beaten path as I would like it to be.

As you can see from the pics here, I have bent a couple of the plants and tied them to the ground to try and get some vertical side branching.

By the way, a fucking rabbit or coon or what ever the hell it was chopped another one my plants into two!

I built a net out of string really quick to try to keep animals out.
I am going to be building a mini green house for my babies out of basically a clear shower curtain and some posts.
Enjoy the pic of my current animal deterrent! (yes I know the FBI can undo the face blurring blah blah blah that is all BS by the way:P)

Shower curtain eh? Are you sure it won't get too hot under there? Not sure where you live but around here we are already pushing temps too high, putting a plastic bubble over them would surely roast them. Any how, I'm sure you have already thought of that, keep us posted on how that turns out!

Well it is vinyl stuff I put on my window in the winter to keep it warm in here so yea it is pretty insulating, but temps here are in the 50's and 60's haha waaay up north.
I am going to put some sections of screen in parts of it I just don't have enough screen to build the whole thing out of it. I am planning on building it atleast 4 and a half feet tall.

I see, yeah that sounds like it might be a good idea then. Good luck!
