hi. i am under the impression that if i were to cover the base of my plants(about 8 inches tall) possibly put some root horomone on it, roots would form under the soil on the stem. i start mine in 16 oz cups and i may only fill the cups 1/3 of the way and cover the base as the plat grows, to ensure the entire cup is full of roots before i transplant them. I am trying to keep the plants fairly short and bushy, and big roots are crucial. would there be a benefit to doing this over just planting them in a full cup? anyone out there with advise, please, your .02 would be appreciated. thank you very much

Cannabis has a tap root that penetrates deep, so it's pointless to use that method. just fill the cup up and it'll be full of roots in no time.

???... the roots don't need any prompting to do their thing..if you want a short multi cola'd plant think about LST.. see charts in my sig link...
Covering soil can risk mold..better for air to get there..... Luck. |
