Default Miracle Grow vs Organic potting soil..Fact
Alright i have 16 babies outdoors right now and there 27 days old and i have 15 of them in 2x2x2 holes with organic potting soil then just for an experiment i wanted to grow one plant with miracle grow just to see how it would turn out because people say never use miracle grow for marijuana but the one i have in miracle grow is the biggest out of all them and has the most leaves so could this be a male and growing faster then the others? Or do uses think its just the soil? I payed 1$ a bag for the organic but regular price was 3$ and each hole has 2-3 bags.

I myself love MG, you do not need to pay big bucks for organic. i have friends that swear by Foxfarms, but they have good paying jobs. I am retired, so MG and mollases it is for me.

Yeh most people say on here never to use miracle grow for seedlings but it seems to be doing the very best but anyway does anybody think its the potting soil thats making them grow so slow ? because they are 27 days of from seeds and the biggest one is 7" smallest one is about 5" but i also put them outside at 8 days old, Vegged indoors under 42w and 23 w cfls for the first 5 days.

seedlings will burn if nitrogen is introduced too early. that's a fact mr botany.

miracle grow is a big company that offers a lower price to consumers at the cost of unsustainable business practices. it's the same as buying food from joey supermarket vs. getting food grown by a local organic farmer. if you care about leaving a low impact, the choice is clear, however it is always up to personal preference. personally I grow outside in areas with all the needed nutes already in the soil. now that's organic!

I can provide a small amount of testimony on this subject, 1st grow I tried MG Moisture Control.
Looked beautiful for 2 weeks. It was pure MGMC soil, which was likely a mistake. Anyhow, lower leaves began to yellow. Got help at the plant problem forum. Tried flushing, epsom salt(1/4 tsp per gallon distilled). Kept yellowing, pulled the plug.

2nd grow in MG organic. Night and day. Same equipment, conditions, very strong plant 2 weeks into flower.

My experience is the perferted soils can hurt you, especially if you're inexperienced. Some newbs(and experienced) growers have great luck with MG. But when things go bad, you're in a very lonely place.
