Hey guys, can anyone bring me up to speed on why seeds grow faster than clones? I am only on grow #2. First was from seed, this time around I germed 2 seeds, took about 50 clones and kept the best ones, only 11 past quality inspection. Currently I have 6 of the 11 outside, 2 are indoors under my screen, and 3 went to a friend who lost his mother due to neglect. Currently I have the two original mother plants that grew form seed outside, and I have to say that the clones are doing much better. I guess because the ones from seeds were used as mothers and maybe that is throwing them off. Anyway, not discrediting anyone here, I respect everyone, just trying to understand the logic behind it. I dont know, I just like the idea of starting the seeds, and truly and completely creating and starting a plant from scratch...from that one lil miracle seed.

That's cool man, I can respect that, just wasn't sure if one of the elders on here had passed down the info to you..kinda sucks for renegade growers who don't have access to good genetics on a regular basis. Living in a non-medical state, it is important for me to get as many plants from 1 seed as possible, especially when you are paying these ridiculous prices for seeds. Kinda nice to know that you have an entire garden of fems from taking clones too. Just my 2 cents

I hope Im not stressing my plants, lol Ive been pulling fan leaves and on two of my plants I topped every branch today, hoping that its gunna make my plants alot more bushy, well anyways that bud looks pretty good for a first grow was it a bagseed?

as for your present grow that Durban looks fucking healthy, and its pretty big too I knew I should have planted straight into the ground. I just read the last couple of pages but when did they sprout?? and where in so cal are you

You can pull some fan leaves, but only the ones that are dying from lack of light...if its green then it stays in my garden lol..and topping is okay....but you just dont wanna do unecessary stuff to it all the time ya know?

I lost track of when they were started because they were started at different times...but the biggest bush was started in early feb, and the rest were started throughout march,may etc... oh and im in like the san fernando valley sorta or the san gabriel valley...

Thats not SoCal thats the Valley, lol. ANyway I was going to say the same thing FDD said. Put a clone into 12/12 and you will see soon enough. Dont need to be growing males. I have alot of sativas and they have all shown gender. That growth is strange to say the least. Plasnts look good though.

Naw dude I live in SOCAL...sgv and sfv arent counties but its close to where I live, guess I could say san bernadino county...fuck it I live in Los Angeles county...I only say which county im in because I do not wanna give out my exact city... yes its weird...hopefully clearish white pistils will pop out of the growth.

Anytime brah...yeah, I got a nice Swiss Cheese female that's bulking nicely. She showed sex about 2 weeks ago. I took 3 clones from her yesterday and started an indoor grow. I wanna see what the herb is like. I'll force flower them. Good to see everything is going well...take care and I'll pop back in from time to time. I attached pics to show you.
