risky maneuver, but my lack of prep for this years outdoor grow is showing in the rate of growth, due to high clay content. so today i bought 32cubic ft of sphagnum peat moss and a 40lb bag of fast acting lime. I'm going to completely redo my holes and let the roots breathe.

hopefully one more transplant won't shock them too much! pictures soon, getting up bright and early tuesday to take it on.

did you put any different soil in at the beginning of the grow or did you just put what was on the root ball?

I added 30% compost + garden soil, and it's doing ok, but i know with some more aeration I could increase my grow rate... so its worth it in my eyes.

I'm also hoping my clones will like it, and take off so i can get some weight come sept.

its just a little over 1 cubic yard thats not that bad actually

probably going to do 40% peat per hole.... not sure about the hole depths yet, whatever i feel like digging.

Nice lookin smg, finally stopped by..have you heard of using hair clippings (usually free, just go get.) for pest control? it also adds nitrogen to the soil...I also use IRISH SPRING bars of soap tied with fishing string hanging in trees...although pricy I haven't lost one yet...Cat looks cool, he just follows you to the plot? Is it your private land orrrr?

yea i've thought of using clippings, but i've been lazy so I haven't sought any out. I did use an irish spring-like soap in a canister full of holes, but I've neglected to refill it.

Its hard for me to get out to my plot, its half an hour from my g/fs, where i'm usually staying. and on private land that does not belong to me. it actually belongs to some older crazy guy who sits on the porch all day. I've talked to him, and he said it's all flood plain and won't be developed or sold.

he was telling me about some native americans kidnapping his great grandfather's wife on the property. said that they live in the area and hunted there. i have yet to find any arrowheads near my grow.
