How can I get more and longer pistals?
Its hard to tell from the pictures but these are only about 3 weeks into flower and a lot of hairs are amber and the calyxss are just bunching up.
Could this have something to do with lack of nitrogen?
I feed these plants alot, but would like a less dense growth structure if that makes sense. I also know that they do better in the greenhouse. I cant imagine the temperature is too much warmer in there, but it is less wet (rainfall) so maybe thats it.

Thats all in the genetics! Sugar helps them swell but thats really about it. All you can do is take good care of them and wait for the trichs to swell and turn the right color. So far they look awesome. Great job. Im sure you will be pleased!

I forgot to add. Cheese and Trainwreck are both heavy feeders but make sure you flush on a regular schedule since you like to feed them a lot or they will get locked out and stop growing. Plus adding too much nitro in flower will make the smoke harsh. I would not do it! Good Luck!

Wow milroy I wish I could trade my pistil:calyx with you. I have quite the opposite on one of my plants...it's got hairs everywhere and you can't see the calyxes. I would say it's mostly a strain thing.

I have Clearex.
I was always hesitant about using it, but maybe I should.
I feed them Botanicare cocktails a few times a week.
How would you recommend flushing?

do you mean stigmas? which are part of the calyx as a whole

I mean the white hairs are not growing.

The hairs themselves are the pistils, the stigma is the opening of the pistil where the pollen travels to fertilize the bud.
