there a lady in town that has kept track of when her MayDay tree blossoms each year. yea...I agree she needs other extracurricular activities to FILL her time, but .... focus ...... this year was 25 days later than the 25 year average. and I know the forage crops are WAY behind here as well. it just seems to be one of those years. Walk on!!~~

hey fdd, I'm not sure if you missed my question a few days ago, but as far as splinting branches back together after storms, do you have any recommendations? I took some aquarium air pump hose and made a nice amend with that, any home remedies to keep disease and bugs out until it can heal?

i have a few that i need to bind up ahead of time. they are plants i topped and didn't get a chance to get tomato cages around them. they will want to split down the center when they get buds on them. i will use green plastic garden tape and wrap them real well, so they won't split.

thanks again, I think that is what is going on with my outdoor gardens. I topped each plant and the split took place right where I topped. I will make sure I wrap them all up real well before they start getting real heavy with flowers. For now the make shift stakes will do the trick!
