I plan on having 20+ plants that will be planted around memorial day and im wondering how much heavy harvest im going to need to buy for 20+ plants.

Also since im planting in late spring/summer should i even get the spring formula? Should i only buy the summer and fall formulas?

One more question... my soil is going to consist of 1 part peat, 1 part vermiculite and 1 part perlite.. Also additives for nutes i 'm using blood meal, bone meal and sulfate of potash magnesia (cant remember who i stole this recipe from but thank you :) ) ...Question is should i mix the nutes in with the soil when i plant them or should i do as the directions say and build a "ring" around the plant and cover with soil.

Thanks everyone for the help

A little more info please. In ground or containers? If containers, what size?
One tip: fill hole in ground or container 2/3's full of your special nute mixture & top off the last 1/3 with a regular planting mix. Start your plants in this, they will establish themselves in the top 1/3, then their roots will jam down to the "good stuff" in the lower 2/3, and look out, "Green Monster" time lol.
Good luck & good grow.......BBbongsmilie

thanks for reading,
im thinking of diging 20 holes up the mountain say 3ft x 3ft, i was wondering how far a 20kg bucked of say the summer blend would go, how many plants roughly and would u recomend it aswell?.

my other problem is it would be a lot of work to carry good soil to the site so i was thinking if i could scrape say 5-6" of top soil from fields were the grass is short green and sheep and cows grazed it for years so there would be decades of manure in the soil (just my theory):roll:lol
the soil is dark and smells good..

do u think this would work, or would lugging my own mix all the way up payoff in the long run, and after all that we mite not have a good summer in the uk it suks...
thanks for helping mutch appreciated..
:bigjoint:

the strains im workin with is :
greenhouse, big bang
greenhouse, church
dutchpassion, hollands hope
nirvana, swiss cheese

Hi Jokero, i'm thinking that 20 holes [/FONT]
3X3X3 would = 20 cubic yards!
That my friend would be a lot of earth moving and good luck with that. Your idea of using native pasture soil would work ok, but you would still want to nute it up a bit, and the key word is bit. So many folks will turn good medium toxic by over-nuteing, (my word lol).
Good choice of strains, very tasty.

Good luck & good grow.......BBbongsmilie

ok thank u both very mutch for the great info,
ok so i been thinking bout 20 holes @3x3x3:wall:ouch,
i was thinking 1.5x1.5x1.5 =127 litres per hole i thnk lol.. thants 90 cubic feet, to move theres 2 of us...
is this big enough or would bigger holes simply be worth the efort.
would u go for less bigger holes.

lol sorry to keep on i just want this to work its my first guerillia grow...

nuting:
if i was to add blood bone meal
bat guano fish guts etc should i still use
heavy harvest.

this is wot i was thinking to put in my mix:
tidy top soil from mountain: 1500litres
peat moss: 600litres
perlite,vermiculite:300litres

=2400litres

i can get hold of blood bone meal bat guano, cow and sheep manure fish guts/hole fish, lime..

I had 70 holes(3.8 cu. ft. bales per hole).

Used a 5 gallon bucket of summer heavy harvest slow release pellets last summer. Pretty sure thats the heavy harvest your taking about. Only used half that amount of the fall heavy harvest so I'll have the other half for this year.I didn't use the spring stuff because I only put them out the middle of june.
