| | seeds.. ferts.. transplants... | | couple questions....
1: what's the most reliable site to order seeds, reasonably priced [to the USA]
2: i'm currently growing about 12 plants outdoors. i got the seeds from some really skunky smelling bud from arizona. sativa like high, so i'm excited for this one!! but what fertilizers or nutrients should i give it, being as simple as possible..
3: they're all about 2 weeks old, and growing the third set of nodes. pretty small plants, i used to grow indoors, and those puppies take off! when should i transplant, because i plan on moving them. and i'll use 5 gallon buckets with potting soil?
THANKS!!!! |

| | 1. Gypsy Nirvana's Seed Boutique Nirvana Seeds Standard= very reliable
(4 stars) and very cheep, 20 us dollars for 1 pack, shipping included, and a freebie pack as well.
2.Don't fert for the first 4-8 weeks, but when you do a cheep and simple method is osmocote time release fertalizer 14-14-14, available at menards, home depot, or lowes for like 5 bucks, mix with soil or sprinkle on soil and forget about it till flowering.
3.transplant whenever you think they are outgrowing what you have in them now, you will see roots starting to grow out the holes in the bottom. 5 gallon buckets work well just be sure to drill drainage holes, though if your soil is good planting straight into ground will always yield best.

| | thanks so much!! i will get that fertilizer in about 2 weeks then.
i used 5 gal last year, and i did drain holes, and painted them green then tied them up in tree notches, it worked really well.
my plants now, are in the ground now, so i can't really see the roots. 8 of them are in a row of peat cups, also buried.
i'll transplant in about 2 weeks, and fertilize them then, maybe i'll dig some holes and fill it in with good soil, and skip the buckets, thanks!! |

| | be carefull with that setup, i use the peat pots as well, and trust me those roots will grow through that pretty quick, then you will have to dig up the soil around the pots as well and try and seperate the plants roots, though you probably have a little lee way.

| | yea, i know that can happen, but these plants are still pretty much babies, barely 4 inches tall. it seems the stem keeps growing, but the vegetation is minute.
also, the very first set of leaves that ever came out.. they're turning slightly blotchy..? kinda look dry i guess, but it just rained on sunday here...
i'm going to scout for a good spot with ample morning and afternoon sunlight, and prepare for transport. i'm so scared to have them found and stolen, but i don't want to put them way up on a mountain. arggggggg!!! | | Thread Tools | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode |
