| | How DNR busts you! | | A friend of mine was busted growing outside a couple of years back. Just a heads up how he got busted so it may help growers avoid this. He said that they tipped a bucket of his over on purpose. He said they do that to make sure you touch the plants while visiting your patch. They setup motion camera's in the trees, and during court they claimed they also had a tripod setup in the field. The cameras were all motion sensors. I have a set of night vision goggles (cost me about 1k) but well worth it. I WILL NOT EVER GO TO MY PATCH DURING DAYLIGHT HOURS! Cover your face everytime you go 2 your patch, and try not to go during the day. If you insist on visiting your patch make the time you spend together swift. Also a heads up it took the police a little over a week before they came a knocking on the door. So you may think your clear, but continue to be safe even after harvest. Good luck and remember, stealth like splinter cell. |

| | how big were these plants? i mean a bucket sitting out in a feild is gonna look obvious to a chopper or anything.
you dont need night vision goggles, get out there and let your eyes adjust, also make sure your plot is close to where you live, maybe not where you live but close, its really sketchy having to drive to your plot once a week. |

| | Pretty big, he had them camoflauged pretty good but they still found it. They were building houses nearby and they didn't come out and say it but he thinks those surveyors found them and notified the police. BTW night vision does come in handy. I borrowed my buddies before I bought one. Your eyes can't adjust when their is no moonlight. I put mine in the middle of a field all over the place sporadically. Takes me about an hour to find them all without the goggles. Wearing them goggles I find them in bout 10 minutes. Also good for finding sources of heat out there. I.E the man! Not saying everyone needs them, just made enough of what I grew to buy them. If you have yoru plants camo'ed real well and it's hard to find them in the daylight, what makes u think you'll find them when it's dark...peace. |

| | i would much rather plant miles from where anyone lives than neer my own house, i don't know why that would be any better...smokerE good point, i have to go in the woods at night fairly often but usually just walk blind for a few minutes, im an accomplished survivulist and hope that if anyone was in my area i would know. listening to the birds and frogs can help, if somone approaches frogs will stop croaking and blackbirds and squirrels will put out warning calls, im alway in my marine issue woodland camo head to toe so i blend in very well. also, who would suspect a marine ya know? |

| | "I quote John Lennon: 'I don't believe in Beatles - I just believe in me.' A good point there. After all, he was the Walrus. I could be the Walrus - I'd still have to bum rides off of people."
