I'm new to this so bear with me. I plan on germinating my seeds in a paper towel first. What i need to know is, is it ok to plant the germinated seeds in those plastic plant deals that have like 6 things per tray and are like 2in. by 2in. each. I don't know what they are called but if that makes any since to yall then please let me know. I need to know if they are big enough to start them, because i want to start alot of seeds and don't have bigger pots. If it is ok then how long can i grow them in these untill they need to be transplanted into the ground?

yea i know what ur talking about were its like all those little pots connected and there like plastic shit. you can grow them in there. i would only do it till there about 3 inches tall then just pull em out and plant em in a bigger pot. it shouldnt be too hard to find big pots. like gallon ones are $10 for 5 or some shit

you might go to home depot and buy jiffy pots, the kind that are 25 pots for 2 bucks, they are dehydrated little "cookies" you put them in warm water and have small pot that is 5-7 times taller that the cookie, good space saver, and when they are big enough you just put the whole pot in the dirt, roots grow right through them and into the soil.

Dont use the jiffy pots they suck and are bad ideas.Germinate the seeds for 2-4 days the tap root will show them put them in a small hole covered by about 1/4 inch of dirt assuming your soil growing. I suggest and use miracle grow moisture control has all the nutes you need for 30 days and absorbs water to help not to overwater. The thingies as you call them are trays or flats. Some nurseries will give them to you for free or home depot or wal mart have them for coupl bucks.Good luckDont pack the soil on top of the seeds just brush it over them
