outdoor plant problem

i just started growing outdoo and the low for next week is n the 50's would covering it with a tarp work>?

ur plant wont die unless it goes into the 30's THAT will kill the root system
but below 50's temp may slow dwn the growth process but in the 50's might give u some purple
