Default Question regarding wind
Ok so I started 1 new plant that I'm going to attempt to grow outdoors. It is 16 days old and I have it in a 2.5 gallon pot. Up until today everything has been going fine however yesterday and today have been very windy. I was curious to whether I should be pulling this plant inside until the winds die down or if they will be ok. One thing that worries me is that 1 of the bigger fan leaves is pointing upward and the other fan leaf is directed toward the ground. Last night I put a little stick in the soil and tied it to the plant for support. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated on what I should do

if your in southern california, those winds are Santa Anna winds. You have a young plant, I don't think it will do too well out there in those winds, and it's going to start dfrosting soon in the morn...I just harvested, and did it just in time...my2cents

marijuana plants tend to get stronger with the wind. the wind stresses them one day, they grow stronger the next.

depending on the stage of the plant, they may not be able to handle the wind. the worst thing that will happen is a broken branch. which can be easily repaired if attended to immediately.

also do what you can to find a good wind-proof spot, best if this spot is natural, like in between bushes and such (the bushes being over 5' apart.)

either way, there's endless ways to protect them from the wind, and at a certain stage, they can handle it as long as it isn't hurricane weather.
