Default Nor-Cal Storm on the way
Hello all My sour diesel has like 1 more week to go we are having rain come in tonight my plants are planted about 1' from my house the over hang will protect half the plant but the other half is going to get drenched being in Northern California should I worry they are starting to wilt due for water today but thinking I should wait till to night or tomorrow and let mother nature water em.

Should I put a tart over them? Also look at my Colas they are big and heavy should I stick each one? (prop it up on a stake with a zip tie) Like I had to do with the main stalk and a few big buds.

Thanks

Hehheh, mine are drooping, too. I figure that if/when they're watered enough I'll just pull them under the deck (they're in pots). I'm more worried about the girl who's closest to finishing because her branches are getting that "heavy sway" to them and I can't find a clear spot to tie them off to any supports. I'd hate for the wind to bash the hell out of those buds I've been so careful with, ya know?

Hi Sea Maiden

Go to Home Depot they have 5 -10' plastic stakes for like 1.00 each and just hammer them in the ground take a big zip tie and loosely zip tie it to the branch I did this you can see in the pics to some of my bigger nugs going to buy more right now to do the rest

Thanks

I've already got some tree stakes that are tall enough, those are what I was thinking about using. You sure Zipties won't fuck up the buds, though? We're up in the mountains and the wind is starting to really whip. Also, WHERE do you tie in relation to the buds? The one I'm really worried about has no stem showing for the budness. Under the buds, where I can see the stalk? Or do I need to tie off near the top? It's not that tall at all (MAYBE 3' tall, didn't have much time for growing this season).

Thanks in advance!

I just loosly wrap it around the bud and stalk it moves freely no damage and if any I would think it would be minimal I have had mine like this for weeks and we get tons of Wind out here in the valley. or you could use plant twine its soft and sold at home depot I dont think the valley will see to much rain ,I could be wrong got the tarp just incase and if they do get wet Sunday and all the rest of the week gonna be sunshine and mid 80s in the day and high 50's at night I think I'll be ok

Thanks

How's the wind where you are? It's been whipping ALL day long, since before noon. And then, just about 15mins. ago, it just DIED. And the clouds look... kind of ominous.

Ok, so! I've put the stakes in the pot, and I've got the plastic plant ties as well as jute. Really just tie it loosely around the bud and it won't damage it? I'm a-skeered!

Its been raining here since yesterday.... All my neighbors covered their plants up but I'm letting mine get rained on. Ive been going out every few hours to shake the water out of the nugs. My Black Widow has the longest branches and the heaviest nugs and I've been tying it up with green tape. The forecast says it will clear up tomorrow and then the sun will dry my buds. So far, no broken branches, and the sun in my area is intense enough that I'm not worried about mold.

I figure I'll use the pH-neutral rainwater to flush all the nutes out of the soil for me, since I'm planning on chopping a lot of the ladies soon after this rain.
