If you have access to a pine forest i would suggest growing in the forest. pine trees are thinner than regular forest. i would look for younger shorter trees. I grew some in a very small clearing in about 15-20 ft. tall pine trees. I't worked well because the canopy is low. eg. ^^^ oak is more vvv. you can hack off the lower branches really easily allowing more light. They were a little light starved i think because they grew about 12 or 13 feet tall but still produced a good amount fine bud. This method is probably a little better if you get a jump start on the growing before you plant. I planted 18'' plants in the spring. They stretched a lot during summer but slowed down when they got toward the top of the trees.

I guess I have to add not to top the plants after you plant them in the ground. Let them grow tall as the idea is there is more light towards the top of the trees unlike other trees where the canopy blocks the sunlight.

How much did you get of each plant? And what kind did you grow? What did you do to the soil?

I am unsure of the strain of the plants. More sativa characteristics than anything I think. Probably from a bag of the many killer middies my home town always gets. large long nine bladed sun leafs not really skinny blades though. it harvested late for it to be indica as well. Only got about an oz and a half per of the three because the lower branches did not produce. only the tops. and a friend ripped me off i think. but long story. Didn't do anything to the soil ph or anything because it took well to it. Mixed in some potting soil and Just some 15-30-15 miracle grow when we visited them. I know not the best ferts but did the trick. I wish i had a pic of me standing holding on to this stick and not being able to touch the top of one of the plants.

That doesn't seem to be as good as you think. Evergreen tree's are toxic that is why nothing naturally grow's under them. So pail's might have been a better way to go. And I hope you killed your friend for ripping you off an o.z a plant isn't that great. With a little care I get 4-16 O.z. a plant and I try not to water unless drought.

It averaged an oz and a half per plant but unsure really of actual yield cuz of the rip off. but i forgave. The plants didn't have much at the bottom of the plant/ Trimmed. There were actually tall grasses in the small clearing. the idea is nobody is gonna find them in between the trees and they can still get light unlike regular forests which trees block the sunlight. Yea beaner I wish i had a way to test ph and lime to adjust it.
