Attached are pics from this morning in a meadow so to speak. This is the first time I have ever grown on my own. The seeds were all from smoke that I enjoyed in the past.

I have no idea what strain any of them are. The one I am posting is freaking huge. I had to tie it down for a couple days when a neighbor had an excavator come in to fix some drain tile. The plant was way taller than me at 5'10". Now it leans about 30 degrees and doesn't seem to mind.

I am nervous if it will bud in time for me to harvest. (Michigan)

So I was talking to a friend of mine about getting this thing to start flowering quick so that I will be able to have a decent harvest before it gets to cold out.

He said to snap one of the lower branches to shock the plant to get it to flower quicker. Is there any truth to this or is there a better way besides getting an earlier start next year?
