I have a few questions...

You tested the difference betweeen using an enzyme and not using it... Did you notice any big difference?

For the first 3 weeks of my bloom I didn't use it, I figured there's no way the nutrient levels could be too high. When I added the sensizym they drank it up a lot faster and started to grow faster too...

My current grow was abbreviated due to funding... So I didn't use any Hornby products, and supplemented with the FF soluables...

I really just invested what I could in the basics, and still have some leftovers, about a grand in nutes, but some were leftovers, and I have more for the next round... I fully detail it in my journal.

Anyway.

I cut out a lot of the products I have been using, and am working on simplifying it further... $86 a gallon for sweet leaf is pricey so I've been working on a copy, I think I'm getting close.

I'll always use an enzyme, you can feed so much more...

Also, the main difference between AN and the other nutes is they are derived from pharmacudical grade materials, other companies use test grade materials... And they're in a higher chelated form so the plant can eat so much easier.

Anyway, I'll never switch from AN, i was trying out FF this round to save money, but swiched over and I'm finishing out after the third week with AN...
Extremely well said man, I'm with you 100%.

No one does it better than AN because they're just more committed to quality than anything else. If all they cared about was dropping the per unit price of every bottle so they could out-cheap the competition then... well then they'd be just like the competition.

Don't get me wrong, I've used the FF soluables this grow, and my plants are pretty resinous, can't tell the difference until after harvest...

But yeah, I think I summed it up fairly well...

Hey guys, Great thread for nutes. I'm fairly new to nutes, as far as i never really knew what i was doing before, never knew what the nutes were doing either.
But i must say the reason i chose AN is it is constant in all the nute disscutions. everyone agrees it is one of the best. Everyone also agrees it is expencive. But if your wanting to put your car in a car show you wouldnt paint it with Wal-Mart spray paint. I'm a firm beliver in "you get what you pay for"

Another reason i chose AN is the u-tube series hydroponics secrets http://www.youtube.com/profile?user=...ts&view=videos they explain every product, what it is and what it does, and how it works.

another u-tube playlist is the "prohabition files" from BrownDirt Warrior (bad ass) he also uses AN Heavy Harvest. i belive the bobmarly guy was inquiering about this type of product a few pages back.

anyhow i have a few questions. all the research i have done has been to go hydro. but were moving in a few months so were gonna stick with my girlfriends half ass set up till then. dirt with what ever her friend gives her for nutes. this time it was a bottle of flouralicious and last time i dont know what it was. just some jars with tape sayin tbl spoon per gal... lol
anyhow i cant grow that way. i have fallowing nutes from AN

grow,micro,bloom
carboload
b-52
big bud
overdrive
mother earth tea (grow)
voodoo
VHO

how should i go about this? just mix a rez and watter outta that every week? how often should i water and how much for a 2gal pot? seams kinda small to me.
any help will be appreciated

AFAIK anything you can use in hydro you can use in soil. It's more a question of how much difference it will make. If you have really good soil with a fully developed soil web extra microbials probably wouldn't make much difference. But if it's a soil-less mix it definitely will.

I'd say give it a try and see how it goes.

You don't want to leave mixed nutes sitting out for a long time since you'll probably get nasty stuff growing in it before long. Try to make as close to exactly how much you'll need each time.

Four quarts in a gallon, one teaspoon in a quart means four teaspoons in a gallon. But if the guy at the store said one per gallon I'd start there. I usually start anything new at 1/4th strength just to be safe.

honestly thats just overkill...

all u need is some leaf compost from the woods, some manure compost mix it together add some specific nuets for marj - tip get nuets from manufacturers that are based in countrys where its legal to grow it - ie amsterdam , canada - those two spring to mind... and let the seeds grow... thats it... why peeps spend lots of money on something thats pritty simple is beyond me to be honest.... 3 key dried weight a plant is nothing unusual for some... total spent on nuets - sensi grow/bloom £22 quid big bud or hammerhead say £15 quid... tarantual for roots... £17 quid... total = £54 quid.... total street for produce = £5 grand "per plant" careful pruning for more fruit than leaf nice lump of stash - well i think it is .. dont you? - glad to help!

cheers!

Sounds like a pretty simple plan, though I think some newbies might be a little confused about what leaf compost even is.

And I totally agree with you on buying nutes from places where it's pretty legal to grow. After all, this gives those companies the chance to test their products out without worrying about being hounded by the police.

Canada and Amsterdam are the two that pop into my mind too. I wonder if there are any other places where testing is going on...anyone?
