Question organic SoG set-up
i'm the definition of a newbie to growing so please forgive me for any stupid questions

Questions :

1. is it even possible to have a 16 plant SoG set-up using organic soil ?

2. how many different sections will i need to be able to harvest 16 plants every month ?

3. am i just a crazy newbie for even thinking about this set-up ?

my main goal is to have a indoor set-up that produces atleast a pound a month
i have 2 spare rooms in my house for my complete set-up. I live alone.

You need to buy theThis book will help you so much I learned alot from this book. Also I would suggest that your plants should be in a 3 gallon container and USE FOX FARM OCEAN FOREST with some pearlite. While your at it, use FF grow big in Veg and FF tiger bloom in flower.

My teacher was obsessed with using volcanic pumice.... really peculiar, as it seems to allow for air, but also changes the CEC in a different way than perlite..... veddy intreshting stuff

Read, Read , read.
Look to getting a system that works for you. I mix my own soil; cheap, easy, better than anything in a bag but messy (I'm getting better, though), some don't have the time or space to do this. I use Aerated Compost Tea (the only way to go I think) and have a system of making the stuff that’s pretty quick and easy, others may not want to deal with a bag of EWC, kelp, compost, bone meal, mycozzail etc, etc, etc and use blue mountain or a quickly agitated batch of boxed fert tea.
Perlite is all the same no matter what brand, I don't use vermiculite as an amendment retains too much water.
Watch-out for marketing hype and poseur organic products, while I'm at it, a lot of very bad advise as well. (this thread seems cool so far though, my next big investment will be a big bag of... pumice. hear it does wonders for those annoying hard water stains on the bathtub too)
Disappointments can be directly proportionate to expectations. I've never seen ANYONE do a good first grow. Those that have quality harvests have learned from their mistakes.
DOLOMITE LIME!
Then do some more reading.
When planing a grow room or any construction I like to "draw it out first", for me visualization is key. Measure twice cut once.
Read some more after getting the dolomite lime.
