hey new here. into organic growing, id like to see a pic of your worm bin if you got one. i would like to get one going. question for you ohsogreen, do you recycle your soil?

Chookface... I'll take one later & post it. Worm Bins are easy to make, cheap and worth the effort. Rich, Organic Worm Castings are a great amendment.

Yes, I recycle everything. My used soil goes into the compost barrel or worm bin - or both. So, it just goes on and on - at the Ohsogreen Plantation...

I love worm juice/castings.I've moved house and just set up my farm with a 1000 worms,only the right worms will work,Tiger worms in Oz,Don't be scabby on something like this,this farm will do wonders,it will repat you 100 fold.ps,I use a ratio of 10-1 worm juice.

Surryman.... You are completely right about the payback. Having your own worm bin is a wise investment. Let the Kiwi's buy casting, we'll drink a jug, slap the rear of a nice looking Sheila and laugh at um'.....

I did Oz back in the 80's, Fremantle, Perth, Melbourne and Sydney. Your country is Great. I smoked some Chronic Bud in Perth - World Class. Drank some rich, cold beer - call Red Rock in Sydney and met / entertained some lovely Sheila's. The women were so beautiful, in fact, I almost jumped ship and stayed. I was a merchant sailor back then.

hey, i am a worm farmer kinda guy and i will be doing a little test soon
i am going to grow in 100% worm castings
also i am going to grow in wormcastings, chicken shit, and eggshells, all from my yard.
it will be a side by side comparison, i might also add two more setups with the same mixtures plus 1/3 perlite
should be cool

i also compost my dog shit in a seperate spot, i think i may truy groing in that too.

I've just checked my bins and my worms have mutiplied,you beauty,I gave them some BROWN unprocessed bread as a treat.here's a link to my 'farm'
