Many folks hitting this site, are first time growers... Help save them the disapointment of having their girls, fall over & die - from too little care or even worst - death by too much kindness..

A few things I've learned in over 30 years of growing.....that have not changed :

Start low & build as you go with Fertilizers...
.
Make small changes, before big ones...
.
Water weekly - but feed weakly / bi-weekly... You can always add more.

More is not always better.. especially since Fertilizers are now getting so concentrated. There was no 9-50-45 NPK stuff when I started. Talk about overkill, that will kill.. Man - I'd cut that stuff down to a 10 % strength. More like .9-5-4.5 NPK for Flowering to avoid nutrient overload shock.

HPS lights are good, but nothing beats the Sun.

Worm Castings, Rabbit Poop, Chicken Litter, Unsulphured Molasses & Bat Guanos - are the best organic fertilizers. If you read the labels on all those fancy hydro nutes - that's pretty much what their made of.

Skunks were great back then, and still are a main stay. They grow well, tolerate more severe conditions & smoke nicely... Pleasant - Not overpowering High..

Don't discuss your grow with girlfriends/boyfriends or friends - things change & so do people. Ben Franklin said it best " If three people know a secret. It can only be kept if two of them are dead." Wise ole dude.

Fun Fact: Bat Guano is the only fertilizer - the USA every passed a bill, protecting. It's value was so great in 1856 - that the person who found a large deposit of it - could lay claim to a cave, area of land, even a whole island - regardless of ownership.

i'm not much of an organic guy.. i like my advanced nutes.... (still natural)....

to add to your point of "sassy comments", whats funny about that is when a person requests information or help, even tho there are forums that have earlier discussed these issues and that bothers a reader, you still do not have to reply.. those ill words redirects the entire point of the post, and undermines this sites objective.. Open discussion....

It's difficult to tell them to do a search at this time because the search function is HOSED. I can't even get results using the word "grow". Gotta go through Google then add @rollitup.org.
