Default using herbs to deter bugs
was wonderin if there are any herbs that deter flys and other bugs from hangin around my plants .

i did plant garlc next to my plants and marigolds as some one told me they were a good thing today ,dont know if it worked ,but plants were good had some good garlic ,and flowers ,and not a vampire to be seen ,

Garlic powder actually works well for bugs, it's pretty cheap, and will not steal any nutes from your plants growing area. Also putting worm castings & bat guano around the base of your plants, mixed in with the topsoil keeps away a varity of bugs as well. Not to mention, they are great fertilizers.

I have never used Marigolds, since they are brightly colored & would draw attention to Mary. Green among green - is rarely seen.

no it does not matter my garden is full of flowers ,but the only things that would see them is the odd skippy passing by ,as i am next to the bush, but if i plant in the bush ,i dont use any plants other than what is around to hide my happy cabbage.
