Default Earth Juice Nutes
Hi Dan:

I've used them in the past and am using some at present. I have used it and Fox Farms, and to tell the truth, I can't tell much difference. I've been using the Earth Juice catalyst for the last two crops and it's really amazing -- the older leaves don't yellow and die. The old leaves wear out, but don't fade away.

Really, Budswell and guanos, plus FF bulb food have kept me in business without spending much cash. And the taste of the herb is so sweet.

BUBBA

Well...I got too impatient and I went to my local plant store. It just so happen that they were having a store wide 40% off sale, but only had Jacks Classic and other (non-name) brands. So long story short I bought Jacks Classic - All Purpose, Blossom Booster, Houseplant special and a PH Meter all for around $23.00 bucks...Now when do think that I should start using them...? My three plants sprouted about two weeks this coming thursday. I'm using 2-2ft long flu bulbs and I'm buying 250 watt - HPS and MS bulbs today, which I should receive by this friday...what do you think...?

Nevermind I got too impatient again and just went to their website...check it out...
When to Start Fertilizing

You should make your first fertilizer application 7-10 days after transplanting in the bed or container. I suggest your initial feeding be Jack's Classic® All Purpose 20-20-20. It has equal parts of Nitrogen, Phosphorus and Potash along with all the trace elements they need. The rate for all outdoor plants is 1 tablespoon per gallon of water. Most watering cans hold two gallons so dissolve two tablespoons and apply the fertilizer solution around the base of the plants as a root area drench. You should put on as much of this solution as it would take for a good watering. Don't worry about getting any on the leaves because it will not burn your plants. Some fertilizer will be absorbed by the leaves, but the amount absorbed by the roots is much greater and more effectively used by the plant.

For all your annuals both flowers and vegetables you should feed every other week. Since hanging baskets require more frequent watering because they dry out so quickly and use up their nutrients I suggest fertilizing them every 10-14 days.

You can use all the Jack's Classic® products in the Miracle Gro feeder to cover large plantings. Remember that with this type of feeder the fertilizer solution is stronger in the beginning and weaker at the end. With that in mind make sure you distribute your spray solution uniformly by going back and forth repeatedly over the area being fertilized. Fill the sprayer with about 1pound of Jack's Classic® Products and follow the sprayer directions. For the type of sprayer that has a siphon tube, follow the directions to get a final feed rate of 1 tablespoon per gallon.

Bedding Plants
Use 20-20-20 All Purpose or 10-30-20 Blossom Booster every 2 weeks.
ContainerGardens
Usually these are planted in a soilless mix (lightweight potting soil). Use 10-30-20 Blossom Booster every 10 days especially for baskets that need frequent watering.
Trees and Schrubs
Use 20-20-20 All Purpose or 17-6-6 Acid Special once a month. Make an application early in the season timed with the typical growth spurt. Pin Oaks in particular thrive on the 17-6-6 Acid Special with its low pH, sulfur and available trace elements

Earthjuice caused the Ph of my last grow to drop dramatically. By the time I realized what was causing it, the zinc deficiency was too great... I'm just glad I got a cutting off of it in time to save my genetics.

It's best if you bubble it for 24-48 hours and Ph test it before use. It IS great stuff, but you gotta use it properly. But a lot of people don't have my issue because most commercial soil mixes have dolomite in them. Mine didnt have that dolomite to buffer the Ph, hence, ouch.
