Default Carrot juice (similar to molasses) ?

Out of curiosity could raw carrot juice be used similarly to molasses? Theres a good bit of trace minerals, fructose, potassium, some sodium which might be a problem. Would the plant be able to utilize any of the carotnoids or pigments?
