Molasses is the end result of sugar refining. My grandfather used to be a sugarcane farmer.

Organic kelp tea can be added at any age because it's organic.

Brendon, I used to live in sunny San Diego for several years. I LOVE San Diego. I lived in San Carlos, we had a little Chrysler Hydro-vee with a 70hp Johnson that was HELLA fun, especially on weeknights on the bay (San Diego, Mission is ok, but not as much fun cuz you can't break your boat on tug wakes).

I got myself some seaweed extract yesterday and used it as a foliar feed. Being the fish-thing that I am, I wish to hell that they would call it by its proper name (macroalgae, as opposed to microalgae), and tell us what species or at least genus they're using for this stuff. And you know what else? It smells GOOD, as in, "Hey... could I cook with this stuff?" good. Yeah! I know. But hey, look at what the Japanese have been doing with seaweed for hella days.

i wonder who the first person to stomach eating sea weed was, its crunchy and salty and slimy..but can be used to make some goooood sushi lol
thank you for displaying such an interest in this idea, every commercial fertilizer is read has some trace of kelp in it if not half of it. its about time US got their seaweed industry rolling, its amazing how many commodities and jobs seaweed could provide. so thanks for stopping by i hope this thread encourages more people to do their own work rather than go buy a bottle of something.

if we're talking kelp then check out Guarantee Organic - Organic Fertilizer and BioStimulant

they have awesome kelp based products including one that is just pure kelp (it's called Guarantee Organic) and kelp is considered a biostimulant rather than a fertilizer. it's like a multi vitamin.
