whas a clf i been looking around and i seen it looks like a energy saving lightbulb! lol but its a compact florencent but is it really a energy saving lightbulb?

reason i ask is i have a 'friend' who's growing in a gallon pot soil mix with water on a 18/6 cycle atm untill said 'friend' has enough bucks for his 150watt HPS ballast for his 150watt HPS bulb this is only going to be for another 2-3 weeks maybe and it seems to be growing strong like over night it shows development, i have no fan in there at the mo so the stork is abit slim at the mo, the leaves are quite big about a inch apart and its about a foot tall i dont have a clue what kinda weed it is though lol

any inputs?

Verbage doesn't really protect you. Talking in the wrong perspective doesn't make you immune to the law if they get ya.

Anyway, CFL's are compact florescent light bulbs that use far less electricity than standard incandescent bulbs. You get about 100w worth of 'normal' lightbulb light for 23w of CFL light. They also put out a LOT less heat.

Is it just bag seed? You could be in for anything, I had no idea what to expect from my bagseed grow. I would highly recommend getting seeds online so that you know what is normal behavior for the strain.

You also will want to make sure that for vegetative growth you use blue light and not 'interior' red light as it won't work and will stretch your plants to insanity. Red is for flowering stages.

free fan: recycled computer case fan and power converter.
Take the fan, conect to canverter. fan can be mounted with a bent coat hanger for a stand (usually there are four holes in the corners of the fan) or hung up, or instaled in the cabinet.

Cool old computer component converters work best for me (routers are usually 12v)
If you use a 6v converter with a 12v fan it will run a little slower but alot cooler, if heat is an issue.

6,500k for veg
2,700k for flowering

using 2,700 won't make the plants stretch at all

42w 2,700k = imatates a 150w bulb
