I was at home depot browsing around for parts for my currently being built grow cabinet.


So I picked up some of this Alaska Fish Emulsion

was on sale for 5$ a bottle so I grabbed just one..


Anyone else try this shit (lol) and like it ?

i love it, works great...plants love it.....only down side...it really stinks, but i still use it...

yeah I had the bottle leak on the way home from the store lol made the whole room smell like fishshit. Glad to hear it, how much do you use? I'm right now just starting off with what it says on the bottle and doing 2 table spoons per gallon of water fince it is getting close to flowering and such and the soils fert is all out now.

its works really well but is acidic. I use pH up whenever I use it, my plants are growing like crazy!

Ahh so maybe I should mix in a hair of baking soda or something with it?

it all depends, buy some test strips. I use ph down which I buy at the pet store for aquariums

ahh cool, I can get all that stuff at work.. plus need to get some carbon anyways.

I had problems with micronutrients, adding some kelp extract/fert is a good idea to make it a more complete fertilizer. The stuff works great, but after a while I had to switch, the smell just got worse over time....

Let me slip out of consciousness and into something a little more comfortable...

I use bio dynamic compost and earth juice products(available).read my blog.

No room for compost here, just needed something cheap and didn't take up much room..


I can mix this stuff in gallons and not have to worry about it for a while besides shaking it up.
