| | I often thought about becoming a vegetarian, my uncle has been one for years and i went to visit him last summer for 2 weeks. I did not eat any meat that entire time and wow did i ever feel better after those 2 weeks, energy levels were up, i was getting sounder sleep and a general feeling of wellness. But it is alot of work, too. Dont think i could ever become a vegan thats tough to give up my eggs and cheese. |

| | I have a few hens this year that im pretty sure are on their last laying,my grandmother insists I give them to her for roasting im not sure I can lol! She is old school for sure and would do the dirty work herself "god knows I can't the thought of killing anything makes me ill."So im kind of in a situation here, should I fork over the chickies or let them live out their lives as egg less pest control?

| | i wish i had the resources to grow my own fruits and vegetables and raise animals organically for me and my familys food. i would like to raise bison someday it is a great healthy meat source but expensive to purchase(organic raised) it is so hard to eat proper if your poor it sucks. i use supplements to help fill the nutritional gaps better than nothing |

| | Ever since i was a child we have grown our own vegies, and its the best thing ever. We had a 15x20 fruit garden and a 20x135ft vegie garden and we had everything in there, all summer long it was fresh dinners and lunches with all fresh picked garden food and there is nothing better. |

I have a container garden that I grow my own veggies on my back porch, just go to home depot buy some three and five gallon buckets, go to your local garden center and get some organic soil and bam your in business

Some free recipes on her website, but you really should try a podcast or two of hers, very good stuff. Also, her vegan chocolate cake always turns out great too.
Plenty of cheese substitutes out there too when you are ready to make the leap. Compassionate Cooks: Vegetarian Vegan Cooking Baking, Eating Healthy Food, Cooking Classes, Cookbooks, DVD, Recipes, Podcast, Animal Rights, Food Nutrition
