Ok thanks , so do you think blood&bone ,dynamic lifter,Epsom salt,lime, vermiculite, perilite and potting mix is enough ingredients to make a balanced and effective soil mix?

My pal Clonex pointed out that if a person is new to soil, it's a good idea to try a run with a descent bagged soil like Roots, etc. Such a bagged soil will have all of those items in there. Just get a bag of EWC and amend your soil as a top-dressing as you go. I think you'll find soil quite forgiving.

You should treat the soil as if it's got larvae. Probably doesn't, but just in case. Crab shell meal, Neem meal, Mosquito Dunks and Nematodes if you can. Let these items work in the soil for a couple weeks before you use it, so they can kill what's in there.

photo.jpghey there Rrog ,this is what i bought from the nursery, they didnt have the roots brand and neither did anywhere else , the specs for this are 2N,1.6p,2k 80%fine 20%coarse , this is the best pre mix soil i could find, should i add anything to this soil or just plant straight in to it?not sure if it would be to hot on its own , thanks for your help , this organic growing is confusing for a begginner

Great! I would just add items that will eat / kill larvae that may be in there. Crab shell meal, Neem meal, BTI Mosquito Dunks and Nematodes are what I do. I haven't had an insect since 2011.

That soil looks nice. I'd definitely add some perlite or pumice for aeration (mix about 3 parts soil, one part perlite). Also, most prepackaged soils seem to benefit from some dolomite lime (mix in at about 1-2 TBSP per gallon of soil).

Thanks guys , one more question, when my clones are rooted can I plant them straight in to this mix?
