You may be able to, can you just plant outside where you are in spring? Miracle grow african violet soil is cheap. I use fish tank water to feed my plants and it seems to cut down on nute use.
Is it possible to use organic food scraps to provide all the nutrients needed for a grow? I am on an extremely low budget, and can't afford to buy expensive bat guano, green sand, epsom salts, dolomite, worm castings, etc. It would also be more environmentally friendly to recycle kitchen waste.
Would it be possible to simply:
1. Plant in a Coco Coir/Perlite soil
2. Compost fruit and vegetable scraps with live worms
3. Brew an AACT tea to provide all necessary nutrients
Could the right combination of compost and tea ingredients produce the needed balance of Nitrogen, Phosphorous and Potassium?
What is the absolute cheapest organic soil and nutrient solution?

For a guy who's name is "organicfarmer" you seem to not know much about organics![]()
^ Lol didn't notice that but hopefully he is very interested and aspiring to be organic farmer. To answer your question not just any food scraps can be used. Mostly plant matter like peels, strawberry tops, etc. Egg shells and coffee grounds too. Bones will normally take very long to compost unless ground or crushed. Not sure where your at but around this time there is still a lot of leaves on the ground(sure a neighbor wouldn't mind if you offered to remove their's for them) and is a good source of bulk compost. During warmer months you can use grass clippings. Pretty much any plant can be composted(don't wanna use tobacco stems). If you are in rural place you could find farmer willing to clean up some manure for them. Best bet to learn more is go to book store and look at organic farming books b/c I don't have time to type pages for you right now especially when info is out there. Producing your own worm castings isn't too difficult either. google that. Biggest thing is patience, composting doesn't happen overnight or weeks.

A grower with a small budget can be diffuclt to get started. Start small and your golden.
To awnser your question about brewing act with coco
(disregaurd if u meant coco/perlite based DIRT soil), organic coco/soilless is possible, problem is controlling Your ph of your organic coco grow, most teas drop below 5.0 naturally. As soon as you mess with you teas ph, u pretty much killed all your benificals micros. (truthfully I would stay away from organic hydro/soilless grows, not saying it isn't possible, just more like it takes years and years to get it right.)
Yes combination of all the right ingredients and amounts will be great for brewing your own teas. Check the tea section, lots of cool teas in there to get ya started. Fish tank water (if it's properly taken care of) is great, I use about a cup per two gallons.
Look into fermenting plant extracts.
Cheapest soil, not sure, depends where u live, to me cheap soil is fox farm, roots, I get it about 8 a bag, but I prefer vital earth which is 10 a bag, (those r my prices, everyone has diffrent connections etc etc) never ever buy miracle grow, or anything from Walmart or home depot for that matter.
Keep in mind that it is possible to recycle your soil, so if u decide to buy a bag, think of it as a investment because you can reuse your soil.
Your on the right track, compost, and get your worms Ina nice home(focus on specific food scraps for your wormcasting.(example add oyster shells to beef up your wormcasting's calcium)
if your near a ocean collect kelp, live near a bat cave? Collect bat shit lol (you get my drift?). U have a whole world out there that can help you in many ways.
Keep in mind everything I said like collecting kelp or bat shit, make sure u do your homework!, u can't just add kelp or bat shit to your grow. (might need to dry, or in some cases sterilize or compost some of these inputs.)
Another Small example,
Got to take things like what kind of bats/birds they r into consideration, what do they eat? Bugs=nitrogen, fruits=phosphorus.
If you need more advise, let us know where u r from? ( live near a forest? Creek?) how is the quality of your soil? (loam, silk, sandy?) if you don't have land or u don't live near by anywhere I just mention, what's ur budget? Maybe we can help by directing you to the right website or local nursery and get u a good bag of soil?
Good luck homie

LMAO so much beef between foreverfly and spliff - CHILL OUT YALL. Its a fucking forum haha god damn...that being said thanks for taking the time to answer foreverfly...
But settle down...stop the hate. We are all trying to learn here. Let's create a constructive environment, not one where we give eachother shit for no reason...
That being said I think its okay to give "organicfarmer" some shit for not knowing anything about organics haha, irony anyone? But its all in good fun...
Cann u too r getting on my nerves, correct me if I'm wrong but u called me a devils advocate earlier? And no it's not cool to give organic farmer some shit just because of his question and name. I think it was you cann that said this is the organic section so people should be more conscious, I agree with u, so why give people shit? There's no hate going on, just keeping fools in check is all. Forums help me stay calm and also help me work better on how to put my thoughts in place, but when people start hating (example calling the rev or subcool bull shit) I do call people out. I'm a nice person in real life and I like to think In riu as well. Just keeping fools in check. "But settle down...stop the hate. We are all trying to learn here. Let's create a constructive environment, not one where we give eachother shit for no reason..." well said
back to this thread and lets keep dropping knowledge for him/her and others
Happy growing homies

Regarding the OP question, in my opinion the fastest way to turn table scraps into plant food is to turn it first to Bokashi in a simple bucket, then feed that bokashi to a small worm bin. I'm doing this with a 30 gallon smart pot in my basement. Whole operation takes up 6 square feet and will provide enormous quantities of the best soil product available.
Lol, dude you still never got over Rising Moons comment did you?
I never said anything about them, I look up to those guys and I'm pretty sure Cann does also. So stop putting words in peoples mouth, we're having a good time and its growing good baby, its all gravy, no hating, just educating, PEACE BRO!
