I would go at least 1:1 with the peat moss to worm castings. Worm castings are a great thing, but i think that they may be too hot to use alone, especially if adding bloodmeal. If you insist on using all worm castings, I would omit the blood meal. Blood meal is water soluble, so you could just put a little top-dressing on the plants if you ever have any N deficiency. For the bone meal, I think about 1 tbs/gallon of mix would be good for them. Then, when you transplant for flowering, maybe step it up to 2 tbs/gallon or more. Bone meal is pretty mild as far as an ability to burn plants, so you should be safe. You should put it in now, though. Your plant still need P and K in veg, just as it will need N in flowering. The priorities change, but the plant will still need a well-rounded diet. Also, see if you can get some bloom guano when you transplant for flowering. Buds love that stuff with a passion. It also makes for a great all-organic feed in the form of tea.

thank you. so the original recipe the 1/3,1/3,1/3 castings,peat moss, and perlite? nice and simple. a thin layer covering the surface be right of the blood meal? 1tbsp/ gallon mix for bone meal? ill be picking up some bat guano asap. if that sounds right then i think ive got it! thank you

With the blood meal, I meant to put it on if and when you get Nitrogen deficiencies. The worm castings should sustain the plants for a while. If you ever find your leaves yellowing, you can topdress with a little bit of blood meal. You should always treat deficiencies rather than try to force feed the plant. Once you know how your chosen strain likes to be fed, you can start with a hotter soil mix if necessary. Always remember that nutrient burn is a great deal worse than underfeeding a plant. Also, Fox Farm Big Bloom is a nice little organic feed, if you can get a hold of a bottle. However, stay away from the rest of the Fox Farm Line if you are trying to go all organic.

control the PH with Dolomite lime it also contains magnesium and is very gentle- worm castings tend to be a bit acidic also but the dolomite 1/4-1/3 cup for 5 gal mix will fix that as for the mix worm castings should make up about 20-25% of the total or it will compact too much. I use bat guano the kind w/o any nitrogen 0-15-2 when the plants are budding 1/4 cup per plant (on top of soil so water filters thru) every 2 weeks until the bud is 1 week from harvest then flush til u chop em good luck- organics rock!

heres some organic nute mixes:

organic mix
1 bale Promix (3.8 cu. ft.)
4 cups bone meal - (phosphorus source)
4 cups blood meal - (nitrogen source)
1 cup epsom salts - (magnesium source)
3 cups dolomite lime - (calcium source & pH buffering)
4 cups kelp meal.
1 bag (25 lb.) worm castings

Fill one kiddie pool with pro-mix BX or a similar
peat-based potting mix until it's full and looks like it
can't hold any more. Then add the following:

Vegetative Mix:
mix: 10-20 lbs. worm castings Additional perlite for extra
aeration Water polymer crystals for aeration 2-3 cups
total of high nitrogen seabird and/or bat guano 2 cups
kelp meal (soluble seaweed) 1-2 cups wood ash 1/2 cup
dolomitic lime (fine pulverized)

Flowering mix:
Use the same recipe but replace the bat and seabird
guanos with high phosphorous formulas for flowering.
All the water you use to moisten the soil should be
fortified with Superthrive, Thrive Alive or a similar
growth enhancer. Do not overuse these products.

i went to my local hard ware all they had was hydrated lime is this the same thing as dolomite lime the discribtion seemed to be the same?

Blood meal:very little less than a table spoon per three gallons of mix when starting, I don't use the stuff myself. Iff I did I'd only use it periodicly during veg. ONLYl.

Bone a bit more both at the start and mostly during flowering, stop six week before harvest
