ya it totally depends on the strain your growing. Has nothing to do with organics(which are far far superior in every fuckin imaginable way to chems/synthetic). You could get that earthen flavor and i know exactly what your talking about, from a plant grown with chems. Its all about the strain.

good question; funny but good. if your plants are grown with organics and flushed properly you will taste nothing but the pure genetic.

it won't taste like the soil because the plant can only absorb atoms and small molecules. Then reassembles them into sugar, carbohydrates, esters (flavor oils), and your general plant matter (with a goodly amount of THC, one whould hope).

Why? In order for a rose to have it's true personality (genetics): Scent, color, shape, and vigor. It Needs to be grown organicly. The biology of soil sets up a prossess that can not be duplicated through chemical means alone. Roses need to aquire certain molecules from the soil at certain times to produce an extraordanary rose (which is really quite a feat). With a biologicaly active soil these molecules are avalable when the plant needs them.

Organics has a better taste probably, but hydro has a better yield if you have the right PPMs.

Do Organic fruit and veges taste like dirt, or do they taste like they should, sweet and wholesome. Think about it!!

Some strains have an earthy, wet sand kind of flavor. I grew a new strain i got from a friend last year and it tasted like wet sand, a real earthy almost dirt like flavor. It was the strain that made it taste that way not the soil it was grown in. I know this because i grew 9 different strains in the same location and all had different tastes and smells. Gotta love outdoor bud in autumn. Go organic if you want the best flavor and odor. Some chemical ferts are ok in moderation but shouldnt be used regularly unless you want your bud to smell and taste like dry grass,lawn clippings, it really does make a huge difference. Trust me!!!! You can grow shit so dank organically that a bowl of pot stinks so bad you cant go outside with it without being noticed.

i use organic nutes for my hydro. hydro from my experience in the bay has gotten me crazy higher than the organic purps and wat not around.
