Maxicrap I mean crop liquid has chlorine in it. It is not very concentrated (1oz./gal!) and cheap. Well you get what you pay for I guess. Their powder doesn't have the Cl I think. My garden gets a higher quality kelp. It costs me more $ but worth it IMO. I like Techniflora Soluble Seaweed 1-1-16 (danks Matt). Super concentrated at 1/8 tsp/4L! As for liquid kelp I like Thrive Alive Green (1-2ml/L and OMRI) and Extreme Serene (15ml/gal but I use more like 5ml/gal), they reach up to the lamp great with foliar application with either of these high quality kelps. Earth Juice offers meta-K which is 0-0-10 I think. What are you looking for in specific? K boost is what I assumed.

im looking for a high quality kellp. I have used a gallon of natures nectar K and am pleased with it. I was wondering if maxicrop is as good as natures nectar. because I dont always agree with the "you get what you pay for approach" especially since i use earth juice and its some of the best shit out and cheapest....

i went ahead and got maxicrop liquid seaweed instead of NN. The reason is because NN has chemicals in it!!! potassium hydroxide KOH!!!(inorganic compound) anyway maxicrop has no chemicals just pure seaweed .

However it contains some CL in it. But not to worry that is only in the bottle so it doesnt explode. Cl is quickly evapoorated in the tea and even when its being poured out the bottle some cl is evaporating right away... From what i know it will do little to none effects on your micrbiology. after all cannabis needs a little cl anyway to grow properly. Maxicrop cotains less than 1% cl. and it has no chemicals in it................................................ .................................................. .................................................. ...

Cl is a chemical in my book. Its in there to keep microbes from feasting in the bottle. The main thing I don't like about their liquid is its lowest in class concentration. It works good tho, way better than no kelp at all.

Oh my god. I've done a whole thing on this before about the Chlorine in Maxicrop. This is elemental chlorine, and after mixing a capful in a gallon of water you have like .0128% or something of elemental Chlorine. It would be in the form of either a naturally occurring chloride salt, or the Cl- ion, which plant roots can assimilate (as Cl is actually a trace element required for plant growth). The bad kinds of chlorine are chlorine gas (Cl2) and chloramines, which slowly release chlorine gas. These are the chemicals used for sanitizing drinking water.

I've never used Natures Nectar... what is it just sulfate of potash? I'd go for dry cut kelp, or cold pressed liquid for any deficiencies. Kelp contains an abundance of growth hormones and regulators which will stimulate growth. Fresh cut kelp will also supply some nitrogen, complex carbohydrates and will be broken down by microbes in the soil.

No worries if it is elemental as Nullis points out!

well i dont know what the second choice is but i will put some imput in, i recommend natures nectar or some similar high K source like kelp meal(not liquid) for in the soil use and correcting deficiencies. as for the seaweed liquid i recommend that for specific applications, seed germination and foliar spray since it is such weak substance, but filled with goodies and pretty sterile too.
