study and learn, and take notes during your grow. so if something goes wrong you can look back at what you fed, the temps, how much you watered. Its not easy to rely on memory alone. start out small and get a feel for it. alot of different ways to grow. I wish i could have started with like a 250w setup, but i had to use cfls. wich was good enough to learn under. good luck.

check out my sig for some recipes. i make a base soil or peat, perlite, and poop. well composted poop. to this i add some amendments to buffer ph, add minerals and add ferts. its cheap to make your own soil, once you have the amendments. a compost pile and worm bin are the keys to my success, i think. if ya have room, they are worth it. and start a veggie or flower garden, so ya have a reason to be carrying soil into your home. its a good cover, for organic grows.
