i love these using them now in my organic manure tea mixture.....this shit makes my soil alive
I have used it and it works very well. My understanding is that it is not truly 100% organic. They just use the word organic instead of hydroponic so us soil people will buy General Hydroponics products. It is marketed more as vegan, which I believe it is; it contains no animal products (except BioMarine LOL, the first bottle I got said squid hydrolysate like a squid is not an animal for veganic?, now it says fish hydrolysate). The GO line contains small amounts of SYNTH, mostly for micronutrients and probably chelates etc knowing GH.
With GO you can definitely feed 15-20 ml/gallon on most strains (up to 2x chart dose as the chart says). It is a good line to bring more people on board to bottled organic based nutrition. I also like that the line is pretty streamlined and lots of goodies are in the BioThrives (base nutrients). Veganic is a definite plus for some medical patients and also for increased quality. The yield was always good too. For what it is (fermented plant extract based, non-PK boost style bloom supplement which also contains plant protein hydrolysate) the GO BioBud is a standout from the line and fairly priced and nicely concentrated. Especially compared to canna's $111/L retail price on BioBOOST (15ml/gallon recommended dosage)Ouch! The BioBud is like $42/quart if I remember right and 5ml/gallon recommended dosage. Another good GH product that is organic (I used it in veg then switch to BioBud in Bloom) is called Floralicious Plus, it is really concentrated at 1ml/gallon recommended dosage and also contains plant extracts ("secret", so not listed on bottles of Fl plus or BioBud) and the plant protein hydrolysate. GO grows great vegan plants (without the BioMarine anyhow)!

I had a pretty care free run with GO. I just find their product lacking in quality and potency, but for the price you can't beat how much stuff they give you. Easy to use as well.
I use earth juice. From what i hear that is the best.
Hello. I like pot.
GH is saying that the GO line is Organic-Based. Since they're in California, which has the most rigid guidelines on labeling products that are produced in the state, they are allowed to label themselves as organic based if they are at least 50% organic.
GH claims that they could get an OMRI listing but they don't want to give up their entire formula as required by OMRI.
If you read through their product descriptions on their website...every thing they mention is either called vegan (which makes one think organic) or it's called organic-based or it is listed as being derived from organic sources.
Grow Safe
I've been using it for 2 runs now and I like it, but I am with the above poster and dont think its 100% organic, however 50% organic is just not organic at all though. It grows nice buds for sure but this current grow will be the last one I will be using GO. I like the vegan idea behind GO and biocanna but I cant get through a grow without cheating somehow by using guanos or the bio marine, this second grow i didnt even attempt without the bio marine and a fairly heavily amended soil.
As someone else said, for the price you get a lot with the GO but I'm switching to super soil, doesnt get any cheaper or easier than that. But if I was to switch to another bottled product it would probably be the biocanna line, or more than likely the earth juice lineup as its cheaper and easier to get better yields than with the biocanna.
Well said everyone. I agree with Kaylx. It's mostly organic, the synthetic parts are probably mostly micronutes and chelates.
And it's a great line to get people on board with bottled organics. Then once you actually start learning more about organics as you grow with the GO products you start to see effective ways to cut down on the bottles, and possibly eventually eliminate most of them.
I think the reason they don't get OMRI certs is because they can't. I don't think it has anything to do with the "secret" formula. Even Canna had to use some synthetic micronutrients in the Bio Canna line. They still have the OMRI however.
I use the Bio Root and CalMag from GO still, but I just noticed for the first time that the Bio Root has soybeans in it......and I'm about 99% positive that they are GMO soybeans, so as soon as it's gone I'm done with that product, and now that I'm using rainwater I probably won't need much of the CalMag either.
