Default OLD chicken and pig manure
so here's my question; i have two old chicken coops and an old pig pen, neither of which have been used in over 25yrs. they dont get rained on, so it is just a wonderful powder. if my understanding of manures is right, this stuff should be awesome for my plants, correct?

i use pig compost the straight pig manure is a little acidic so i compost it with straw and grass clippings. but you could add it to potting soil
1/3 pig poop 1/3 potting soil 1/3 perlite
mix them together and wet it verry good wait 10 minutes and wet again make sure the soil is moist all the way through.

i use the compost in my outside gardens and everything grows good.

if they have'nt been used in 25 years then most of the nutrient goodness will have been lost. but any local farm should supply you with some. its the sh#t when it comes to growing weed.

even with it being protected from the rain? my hypothesis is that it would kinda work like guano...

I think the protected manure should be perfectly smoochy.

Gogrow.... One thing for sure, the manure is completely broken down to it's smallest components by now. If nothing has been growing out of it, it's still nutrient rich; more so than regular topsoil.
.
I'd make compost tea with it if you already have plants growing. Mix two cups of it to two gallons of unchlorinated water and bubble it with a cheap aquarium air pump. I'd let if bubble for two days, turn off the pump, let it settle - then straight to the watering can.
.
Give each girl two quarts of this tea and watch them shine.....
.
If you don't have plants ups & running right now. I'd mix the stuff with 60 percent sphangum peat moss (or coco coir fiber), 10 percent worm castings and 10 percent perlite for a sweet planting mix. & after mixing / wetting it, wait 24 hours then check pH & make adjustments as necessary.
.
Keep it Real...Organic.....
