Live earthworms added to soil?

So I got 20gal totes with an all organic soil combination, big plants, under the sun, brought inside at nite.I've just added 20 nitecrawlers to a couple totes hoping that they'll loosen up and areate the soil, plus their castings they'll produce,I put a little hot compost for them 2 eat at corners of totes ON TOP of soil, has NE 1 TRIED THIS?AND does NE 1 see NE down sides to doing this?...COMMENTS PLEASE!

I find worms in all of my containers throughout the grow. We are blessed with many worms in the area because of our soil and have created a very healthy colony in all three of my compost and soil mixtures. Grinding egg shells and adding a few coffee grounds to soil will benefit the worms and your overall soil. As long as your worms are alive your soil is alive and healthy.
Happy Growing

And if they died sum how, would there decomposing corpses cause NE kind of soil problems?ALSO WAS WONDERING if they would eat the myco fungus & bennie bacteria on the roots?Cuz thats where they're usually found when ever u pull up a garden plant, around the roots...

Worms will cause an increase not decrease in beneficial bacteria.

"So I got 20gal totes with an all organic soil combination, big plants, under the sun, brought inside at nite..."

What have you got them setting in the back of a truck? Thats a lot of weight, plus the plant that needs 20 will be massive. Your already taking them in a night or plan to do this?

NO IN MY BACKYARD,I live in the boonies,The totes r extremly heavy 100 to 150lbs I have help picking em up & I have 1 of those carts they have at lowes to pull my plants around in2 the sun & inside at nite so the bugs dont eat em 2 much, the neem helps a little,I just ordered spinosad cuz budworm season is fast aproaching.I also have 2 bring em in at nite cuz the mmj regulations say they must be stored in an inside facility, and I follow those regs 2 the tee.I started em late so they're not 2 big yet,2-4ft so far,but growing like crazy now that I got my ph locked in.that makes a huge diff.much easier 2 control organicly, plus my health aint great 2 begin with so smoking chemicals aint the way 2 go 4 me.If I end up w/ a surplus of meds,Im gonna donate sum 2 people w/ cancer who r poor,& dont know where 2 get NE.As long as they have an mmj card & show me the labwork confirming they're fighting cancer.preferably an older woman or 2 who r confined 2 they're houses bcuz of illness.Im looking 4 sum good KARMA,plus I think it'll be awsum 2 help sum1 out w/free meds like that!!!BUT I'm tryin not 2 count my eggs b4 they hatch. And i'm growing bagseed f/ a few bags of killa meds i got last yr,so I dont know what kind of bud production i'll get f/these unknown strains. All that hype about having 2 spend a $100 ordering seeds is overrated, there r advantages I admit-knowing what 2 expect f/known strains,& growing ALL the same strains as oppossed 2 having a few diff ones, cuz diff strains require diff care & nutes. But I like having a mixxed bag,Its KINDA like x-mas morn when they flower out,a few diff surprises!...Also I have seen exellent bud grown even f/ garbo mexi swag,if u put luv in2 growing the plants,as opposed 2 the mexicans who just threw the plants in the ground & poured chemicals & pesticides on them 2 get max production. They're also polluting & destroying our national parks w/ these ILLEGAL grows. The FEDs SHOULD B supporting us STATE Legal patients who grow small enviornmentally responsible plants 4 our own medical use, & who dont buy "street meds" which r funding all that cartel killing thats going on now as we speak.dozens of people in mexico r dieing ev-day bcuz of the lucritrive marijuana blackmarket that prohibition has fueled in mexico & the U.S...It is so crazy how many people r dieing ev-day ova a mostly benign plant!!!Gotta got move my plants, the sun has shifted so much in the sky all ready,as opposed 2 july, that I gotta move em Almost Twice as much now 2 keep em in full sun.The SUN is also FREE & betta 4 plants than a $1000 ballast light setup!Moneys tite these days & Id say most peeps start growing thinking they'll save $ not havin 2 buy meds,But then get caught up in the sizable mj marketing scence & end up just breaking even or they spend MORE growing, than if they just bought bags like they were.Unless they start dealing, then they'll end up in the can...

I have a large outdoor compost pile and a vermicompost bin. I add alot of this to my 30 gallon smart pots. Earlier in the year when i was transplanting out of 5 gallon smart pots into the 30 gallon ones i had worms all over the bottom of the 5 gallon smart pot. They went up approx half way to the top. I believe they didnt go all the way to the top becaue the upper layer dried out more. Not sure if they would make it with a soggy bottom in a tote or not. I also was watering a 30 gallon smart pot a few weeks back and was givign it a good soaking and i had 3 worms come out of the top of the soil like they do when the ground gets rained on. So if the environment is good in the container they will live as i have seen with my own eye. I also use no fertilizer thats not organic and also do a few worm teas per grow.

OK,GOOD TO KNOW I,ll b adding more worms then,I just noticed that the 2 plants i added worms 2 r also the healthiest looking,I drill about 30,1/8" holes in the bottom and also another 15 around the sides as far as 6" up the tote, then add a 1" layer of pebbles & sand on the bottom,so i get pretty good drainage.
