Arighty FINALLY got my seeds in the mail 36 hours ago and instantly started germinating them in the paper towels. I don’t have the money for a heat mat, so I rigged a 23 watt CFL and a bucket to make one and it worked amazing. This is the first time growing from seed and in soil as well wish me luck haha. Although this is my first grow in soil, I have 2 years of growing under my belt and I know the fundamentals of pot growth, just applying them in a different way. Loving this site for all the info that it has givin me making all this possible SERIOUSLY! On that note all comments are welcome along with criticism +REP for showin some love people!
So here are the genetics going right now
DNA Genetics- Chocolope Feminized
100% Sativa O.G. Chocolate Thai X Cannalopehaze

G 13 Labs- Pineapple Express Feminised
Indica/Sativa Many Rumors', No one actually knows for sure

DNA Genetics- Rocklock Feminized
Indica Warlock x Rockstar

All of the seeds popped there shell within 36 hours except the MK Ultra Wreck that’s still in the pan germinating. Ohhh and the Jack the ripper bean had two sprouts coming out of the bottom. I have seen this before and the plant turned into a Siamese twins basically gonna research it a lil more.

The Setup:
I am using my old ghetto but refined outdoor grow box. The dimensions are L 33" x W 49" x H65". I have an 8" and 6” duct booster fans rated at 500 cfm for the exhaust and a window fan for the intake and it moves air around inside the box amazingly. Then I have two vortex fans for air movement and to keep the hood cool. For the lighting, I am currently using a 4’ shop flouro with 2 x t12 6500K and a 600w HPS for Flowering hooked up to a 22” x 21” air cooled hood. For the seedlings, I used Fox Farms Light Warrior and added a tiny bit of ZHO to it. For my base soil, I will be using some Roots Organic Also with ZHO added to it now chillin making some fungi colonies. For the final transplant befor flower , I have been cookin up some of Subcool's Super Soil for over a month. The pots that I will be using are the plastic 7 gallon pots, and I’m thinking of using smartpot inserts to protect the roots from the coldness of winter, since the box is outside and the pots will be exposed to the air. I don’t know about spending that kind of money for fabric pots when I can buy one for $1 a piece. Or shit even make my own with a couple layers of that black weed(the bad kind) blocking material for lawns. Sorry such a long post, but so much info crammed into it. Anyways have a great day everyone and happy smoking

Hello!
Just thought I'd chime in on your JTR twins. Not sure if you already ran across this info. researching the strain (my apologies if you have) but JTR is known for doing that. In Subcool's book "Dank" he states that one weird trait of Jack The Ripper is twin seedlings. Sure enough...you are one of several persons I've seen this happen to with JTR. Seems like some people try and salvage both seedlings, while some just let the dominant one take over and let the other one die off. Be interesting to see what you do with them! Happy growing-looks like you have some great meds on the way! :weed:

I herd about it, but I didn't know it was one of the JTR's traits very interesting. I have to look into this further maybe Sub himself will have something to say or he already has, because I dont have the book I want it but dont really spend money on books except the MJ THE BIBLE

Sweeet the first bean t break ground was the white russian that was planted after it germinated on the 26th, 2 days its awesome. The MK Ultra Wreck finally germinated only took 3 days was scared there for a while. How long should it take for all the beans to break ground if they were put into soil on the 26th?

I'd give it at least a few more days, it might depend on how deep you planted them, mine are planted extremely shallow and the seedling comes up within two days at most, with the seed shell still on about 90% of the time..

mm got quite a mighty selection there sir planning on doing a lil breeding when u get some males?
Thank you and hell to the yeah! lol I have been putting together a little veg cabinet finaly found something on craigslist that I liked. A two compartment cabintet one upper and one lower. Workin on the ventilation now probably going to use computer fans or one 4" niline duct fan finding the cheapest route, low cash flow seems to be my case these days. All the seeds have popped now there about 2" above the soil, I'l post some pics either today or tomorrow when I get some batteries for el camera.

Ohh yeah found some Cotton Candy beans this weekend traded for some of my Blue Cheese beans. Sweeeet found a nice pink strain Indica Dominant to cross with either my JTR or Chocolope Female for a sweet hybrid! My seeds are looking sad they are really stretchy. I have them under my 4' t12, I was wondering how close I could ge them to the bulbs before the start to stress? I have them about 1 1/2" away from the lights right now just put them there had the light about 6" away so hopefully something will start to happen with theses babies. The humidity is around 65 and the temp is at 78F, with a fan fan for circulation.

Im fairly new at growing from seed but I started 6 Slh and thought the same thing- way to stretchy but now there in full veg and stalks are bigger than my thumb. I wouldnt worry about the stretch to much.

Ok and also should the sprouts be in 80-100% humidity, because they look as if they are drying out. I put them back into the humidity dome today, so hopefully all goes well. such a pain in the ass these things. And also I'm used to growing from clone, and the seeds have hit there 1 week mark today, why does it take so long ? Hopefully this time next week I'll know whats growing and whats not, because I have some Cotton Candy seeds that I'm about to throw in the mix. I'm thinking about scrogging the living hell out of these two kushberrys, while the seeds catch up, but I dont think its going to happin. This Roots soil is making my plants grow like crazy, pretty close to hydro on the growth rate with beautiful leaves.
Had some powdery mildew problem with the querkle, as I usually have but seems to not affect any of the other plants at all. I sprayed them down with a solution called Dynomite, which I got at the pot and hemp expo. You are supposed to be able to spray this stuff and harvest the next day, so its super safe I have used it before. I'm about 2-3 weeks out for all the plants except for the kushberry, which has 7 more weeks to go, but It's goin REALLY fast. I feel that I have the flora series mixture pretty tuned in now, I was hoping not to have to buy any more flora bloom, but it looks like I might need literally 80ml to finish everything off before switching to soil, damn close.

Damn dude, you've got some kill ass strains. I bet that Cotton Candy will be dank, the only suggestion I have with starting seeds in party cups, is to fill it 2/3 or half way with soil, so that if/when they stretch you can add some more soil on top and roots will grow from there.

Nice grow.....I am going to sub once I figure it out. I popped some beans on the 8th of Oct and had some issues with slow growth from low humidity too (20-30%), which in turn led to heat stress I think but got them straightened out now, got a humidifier in there.

I know it. when your constantly checking on your sprouts (like I did) they seem to take forever to grow untill one day bam..there big! and growing alot every day. i do like working with clones a little more though but sometimes to get some new stains you got to get the seeds and start there. Looks like you have a nice little variety going on. Im thinking about finding a nice indica or indica dominent strain to start on but damn i can look at seed sites for hours and not figure out what I want when theres so many different good strains to choose from.
What do you think about the Querkle? How many times have you grown it? Thats pretty high up on my list.
In my SS i couldnt get any roots soil with out ordering on line and paying $400 for shipping alone but i found a decent comparison soil called Dr.Earth. It has alot of the same ingreidiants in it and seems to be doing damn good.

Sweet info I'm definately doing that for the Cotton Candy beans. I was wondering if I could do it when I transplant them into the 2 gallon buckets. The only thing that I was worrying about was the stem rotting under the soil surface or will it grow roots

The seeds definately needed to go back into the humdidome they are ALL looking very healthy. I think they got a tiny bit burned at the very start from the ZHO, definately worth the roots they have developed over the last week. I seriously recommend this all organic rooting hormone. compared to Root 66 its a huge upgrade, the Kushberries roots look better in the soil cups than the one in coco pots. These plants are definately itchin for some super soil!
