I love how the buds stick out some much compared to the color contrast of those leaves.

hey jerry im not doin a new thread so if you want you can follow my progress here. http://www.youtube.com/user/jeb5304?feature=mhee
ill be updating my indoor/outdoor grows here. thx fer always stoppin by my threads. ill be around to say hi. this place just lost its vibe for me.
Been kinda busy lately, but I got some pics of the remaining few plants. Let's view and discuss.
Deadhead OG. She has really filled out nicely over the last couple weeks. Smell is like a kush/diesel funk that almost makes your eyes water. I felt as though I initiated flower a tad prematurely on all 3 plants, though this one responded the best and is putting out a nice yield. I'm not sure if I'm more excited to harvest the plant or the DH x (GSxOG) and DH x Sour Hazy Jones seeds. This strain is worthy of genetic preservation and will be fun to grow out again down the line.
Grape Stomper x OG #1. This plant was the most negatively affected by not vegging for a little longer immediately after transplanting. I've found plants respond the best when I transplant into their final container, allow to veg for another week and then move into flower. With these I transplanted and kind of rushed into flower, while continuing to train (which was a bad idea too...I'm supposed to stop training before they start flower but continued for a couple weeks after making the switch). Regardless, the buds look and smell great, just a bit smaller than I would have normally achieved. This one smells very strongly of musky grapes, not as OG smelling as #2.
Grape Stomper x OG #2. Same deal as #1, though the buds are larger and the smell is more akin to a strong kush.
Some thoughts about the smart pots: they seem a bit more trouble than they are worth. Granted I did not veg them as long as I would have liked, but they don't seem to provide any clear advantage over my plastic pots. Watering is a bit more work, so much so that I wouldn't use more than a couple of them at a time. I couldn't imagine hand watering 12 plants in smart pots. The ones with handles are much nicer than the ones without (my DIY handles work OK, but I won't use them again). Training in smart pots is a problem...punching holes in the pot works, but not as well as the rigid plastic pots.
I will experiment with them again in the future, doing a side-by-side grow of two clones, but for now I'm sticking with my plastic pots.
FWIW, I generally run 12 plants in my flower room in five gallon smart pots. Compared to grow bags, my yield is at least 30% larger using the smart pots. My last two cycles I did side by side comparison running the same strain, one in a smart pot, the other in a five gallon grow bag (I did this with two strains each cycle). The smart pots have out yielded the bags each time. I will concede that watering is more work, but in my opinion is time well spent.
