Jerry's Perpetually Organic Garden

Yeah, the Casey Jones seed came from a bag I got from a buddy...I got 8 total I think. It was the best smoke I've had in a while, but there is no way of telling what pollinated it to produce the seed. I found some bananas in the actual bud, so I assumed it self pollinated and the seeds were probably female(ish). I'm pushing 6 weeks flower now, and the plant looks pretty much the same, though it is pushing out pistils only...no male parts. I figure the heavy sativa genetics might just require an insanely long flower time, like 16-18 weeks or something crazy. Still, I would expect better bud production after 6.

Oh the wonders of bag seed...

Alright gents, I need some input. I set up my new Lighthouse Hydro 4x4x6.5 tent yesterday and it looks awesome. Quite the improvement over what I've been working with. I'm a little stuck on how much light to use though. I have 1 Super Sun II air cooled hood (very nice) that I plan on using with my 600w nextgen ballast. However, I also have a magnetic 400w mh ballast (with mh and hps conversion bulb) and another 600w hps PL Light magnetic ballast that I could potentially use. I only have 1 additional reflector, and it is not air cooled, but I could hook it up to either ballast.

1 600w hps covers like 5x5 or 6x6 I think, so should I even bother adding another light?

Also, I'd like opinions on the number of plants I should run. Currently there are 8 in 7"x7" white pots, and I could easily fit 12 of those (except I only have 11). Or, I have 5 kitty litter buckets that are about 11"x9"x12" (~5 gallons) that I could use instead or in addition to.

Either way, the tent is pretty awesome. With shipping it was $150. I'll get some pics when the girls wake up at 8pm.

IMO a 600 should cover 4 x 4 just fine. As long as you got good air exchange pack them babies in there.

We'll begin with a shot of the tent. I love this thing. I'm still not sure 1 600 is enough though.

Here's Casey. A little droopy due to thirst. I've almost given up caring about this plant. 8 weeks in and it look like it did 4 weeks ago.

A closeup. Very little budding going on. Very depressing.

But on a brighter note, the Pineapple Chunk is looking pretty good. Still not going to yield a ton, but the buds look very nice. And the smell...divine...

This is the 3rd Barney's Farm product I've grown (blue cheese, LSD, pineapple chunk) and all have been good quality. I have an amnesia lemon I'll grow out some day.

My favorite...Critical Jack. Very intense odor, nice hefty buds, healthy growth...just can't say enough about it. Well, until I smoke it anyway.

Probably about 2 weeks left on this one and the pineapple and the afghan. All look to be about on the same pace.

Nice.

Afghan Kush. The picture doesn't properly illustrate the heft of that cola. It is thick the entire way down the stem. No gaps. Just a solid spear of cannabis.

Nice again.

Here's the next generation critical jack. Been flowering a few weeks now. I would have let it go longer but I made the switch before I got the tent. It's ok, I'm going to grow one of the recently rooted clones into a tree using a bigger container.

Here's the salvaged LSD. This will be the last run of her, though I've been very happy with it through the year+ I've been growing it.

That's all I got. I have another afghan kush I just moved to flower today. I tried to veg it a bit longer and get some more branching...we'll see how she turns out.

I also have an OG Kush clone close to being moved into flower. Needs another week or so of veg.

Seeing as now I have almost twice the space I did before, I'm adding a few new plants to the mix. I just started a Vanilla Kush (also Barney's, so I guess that's 4) and a few Jack the Rippers, in addition to recently cut clones of Pineapple Chunk, Afghan Kush and OG Kush.

Also just ordered some Cali Connection Sour Kush and Tahoe OG, and Soma NYC Diesel. Stoked :leaf:

i jus grew a vanilla kush and altho it was took a week early, it only gave me ten grams of bud dry. It never really branched out and stuck tight to the stem. Maybe 4 weeks veg wasnt enough.

How was the smoke? Worth it?

Hey guys, sorry for lack of pics, but I've been pretty busy lately. I don't have any at the moment, but I have a few additions to chronicle just to keep everyone up to speed...

I recently hatched a Vanilla Kush, Jack the Ripper, Amnesia Lemon and Cali Hash Plant. The VK and JTR are a couple weeks old, while the others just broke surface a few days ago.

But more importantly, I just received my latest attitude order! I just planted 4 Cali Connection Tahoe OG and 4 Sour OG. I also have 3 TGA Querkle and 3 Space Queen, along with 1 Soma NYC Diesel and 1 Somango, but I'm going to wait to germinate those until I know the male/female ratio of the 8 Cali Connections I started.

Stoked :leaf:

There are 9 plants currently in flower. They are as follows...

Pineapple Chunk. Definitely a sativa heavy phenotype. Needs much longer than the 55 days Barney's claims it takes.

Here's the younger pineapple chunk...been flowering a few weeks now.

Afghan Kush. Just freaking awesome.

Here's the younger AK. Just moved to flower a few days ago. Should be ridiculous.

Here's the Reserva Privada OG Kush I saved for one more run.

Bush of Casey Jones. Still not doing much.

Nice smell and has some trichs. Just tiny buds.

Critical Jack...my favorite. Sprawling plant.

My little LSD. Looking damn fine.

Here's the younger Critical Jack

Not too much going on here, but I neglect the veg room often, so here you go.

Left to right...Vanilla Kush, Jack the Ripper, Amnesia Lemon. The VK and JTR are about a week or so ahead of the AL.

Critical Jack clone under some standard LST

The other Critical Jack, rooted the same day, but transplanted into a small black pot instead of a large white one. Just a little side-by-side comparison of how they react to different sized containers.

4 Tahoe OG and 4 Sour OG all sprouted with only minor problems (one root tried to grow up out of the soil...I redirected and it seems to be fine now).

Coolest though is one three-leafed seedling...it has three cotyledon leaves and 3 true leaves...should be interested to see how she grows out.
