That's true, but the color you buy in the store isn't the color which comes from the hive. It's highly filtered.

But yes, for example, Orange honey may work, I don't know, but I do know that pure raw unfiltered honey is best, and the darker the better. My own stash is a wild flower honey from some one I know in Puerto Rico. i just add some salsa and it's good to go (jk!).

yeah, the stuff in most stores is pure junk! real unfiltered raw honey is just the best stuff!! i really like the lighter colored honeys. i would imagine honey would work well instead of molasses.

oh, and that guy that ate wild honey and locust was John the baptist.....

Another thing that's amazing about RAW honey (dark). Like all honey, and unlike ANY other foodstuff, honey never goes bad.
Also, if you get a cut, and are worried about scabs and infections, apply some raw honey into the wound. It interacts with ur body and puts out hydrogen peroxide for infections and it will accelerate healing with NO SCAB. I use it all the time for that, and it really works wonders.

I actually did know that about honey never going bad. I have heard of people keeping mushrooms in honey for a long time without any loss of potency. Nice natural preservative. I had no idea about the cuts/healing though. Going to have to remember that one. I believe honey is mildly anti-bacterial as well is it not?

Yes, that's what I meant by the Hydrogen peroxide. That's why it's anti bacterial, the peroxide which is released in the wound.

You will notice the very first time how quickly the wound heals, and it stays nice and soft with no scabs forming. It's nature's "liquid bandaid".
